Evangelical book catalogs promote books such as Planet Earth: The Final Chapter, The Great Escape, and the Left Behind series. Bumper stickers warn us that the vehicles occupants may disappear at any moment. It is clear that there is a preoccupation with the idea of a secret rapture. Perhaps this has become more pronounced recently due to the expectation of a new millennium and the fears regarding potential Y2K problems. Perhaps psychologically people are especially receptive to the idea of an imminent, secret rapture at the present time. Additionally, many Christians are not aware that any other position relative to the second coming of Jesus Christ exists. Even in Reformed circles there are numerous people reading these books. Many of these people are unaware that this viewpoint conflicts with Scripture and Reformed Theology.

Who is looking for a reaction? I am telling the truth.
Paul speaks about the mystery of how the two folds became one as having already happened during his lifetime.
So there’s a disconnect between when Paul claims it happened and when you claim it will happen.
“There are some things that are not critical to salvation and those are the things that are non-issues. Some people believe in pre-destination, some in free will. That’s not a salvation critical issue.”
You just glossed over the major tenets of various Protestant beliefs like it’s nothing.
There are huge differences there. All of you claim salvation by justification alone, but the Orthodox presbys are pre-destination and by definition the Anglicans are going to hell.
Don’t gloss over the differences. They are major, they caused wars. We have Baptists here who won’t deal with Free Will Baptists because of their “wrong” belief.
Not all of you believe that the other protestant and non-catholic sects are going to wind up in Paradise together.
So you tell me that the non-Trinitarian who pops up occasionally to rail against Catholics is saved because of common cause.
Getting back to the main reason of why it is inherently deceitful to hide behind shielding one’s beliefs from scrutiny is that by doing so, it doesn’t allow rebuttal.
It’s a dishonest strategy.
Quix for all his silliness at least acknowledges where his beliefs originate. ~Even though they are wrong. Not on Christ, just on alien/demons.
Oh really? Care to be precise? Or are you bluffing?
It’s just obvious that some RC’s were born on Mary’s lap and have been saturated in sugar and honey ever since. So naturally, they just have to spread it all around very thickly.
Give it up. She’ll just claim you are trying to find out her denomination, and invade her privacy.
WELL PUT, INDEED.
We’d have to begin by explaining the difference between
DOGMA
DOCTRINE
THEOLOGY
WELLLLLLLLLLL
WE STILL SEE THAT MENTALITY HEREON FROM MANY RC’S 24/7/365.
Now if we don’t comply with the perverse sensibilities of the Rabid Clique sorts post haste and completely,
we get labeled cowards—one and all.
Sweetness personafied.
ROFL!
OH, BY ALL MEANS, DO REPLY
within the rules of course
. . . Oh, right, that’s durn near impossible for some RC’s.
HINT . . .
writing and posting personally assaultive text
is
DIFFERENT
from
TAKING things personally as assaultive because of thin skinned prissy sensibilities.
If it’s such a chore, perhaps the caucus threads and devotionals to Mary’s toenail clippings would be more to y’all’s sensitivities.
INDEED. Even I do . . . particularly with a Muzzie location not at all far away.
Yes, we are talking about the Church of Jesus Christ, created by Him, commissioned by the Holy Spirit, and handed down to us from the Apostles.
Its corrupt through and through. It didnt deal with the immorality in its midst and is now reaping in the whirlwind what it sowed in the wind.
The floor of hell is paved with the skulls of bishops. A fine carpet for non Christians who deny the Christian belief of Christ to stroll around on.
The Catholic church, or any church for that matter, doesnt deal with the immorality within it, it is wrong. Pointing fingers at others does NOT excuse the evil festering within the Catholic church.
Point one here is absolutely wrong. Point two is absolutely correct. If you were a baseball slugger, you'd be paid millions. If you were a hockey goalie, you'd be fired.
That cannot be of God.
Neither could David, then.
Evidently some folks in their spiteful hate ridden outrages and disgust are incapable of understanding that some of us are fiercely hated by very dangerous Mooselymbs.
One thing about y’all’s compulsive spreading and spewing of false, erroneous, wrong, inaccurate . . . to be charitable . . . garbage about Proddys . . .
it really helps reveal hearts out of which such abundance flows . . . as Scripture puts it.
“Now if we dont comply with the perverse sensibilities of the Rabid Clique sorts post haste and completely,”
Naw, I can’t help it if the Protty’s and non-Catholics on the thread exhibit inherently deceitful and dishonest debating abilities by shielding their beliefs from rebuttal.
That’s all y’all’s problem, not mine.
I wish all’y’all wouldn’t be so reactive to any criticism and since ours is meant as a joke,
DEVELOPE A SENSE OF HUMOR.
Even Cotton Mather cracked a smile from time to time, I’ve heard between witch burnings.
I think that that would go along neatly with the Jimmy Swaggart White Pentecostal Hanky fundraising effort due out this spring. Since you are closer to him than I am, can you tell me if he is selling half candles to melt together with 25 dollar bills?
Oh, please! You have never asked "sweetly" concerning what someone's denomination is. I remember many months ago you were riding the same hobby horse demanding to know what everyone's church name was. To claim it doesn't really matter is contradicted by the constant demands. Remember:
"Denominatia???", you asked.
"Non-denominatia!", I answered.
Why don't you come clean on the real reason knowing this is so important to you that you risk being banned for calling everyone who won't answer you a coward, evil, filthy, etc.? I do not believe for one minute that you are merely asking so that "Prods cannot hide behind their lack of identification so their denominations can't be challenged". All you have to do is ask us what we believe on an array of doctrines if you really care to know. What good would telling you I am a Baptist or Methodist or Pentecostal do? Shouldn't what one believes personally be what is discussed?
FOTFLOL!!!
