My advice to any one who wants to convert Mormons away from Mormonism is to study our religion, understand us, then when you can “speak our jargon” you will have a better chance at convincing us from the inside, that attack posture just isn't too convincing.

Unless of course you were born into Mormonism, spent your life there and are more fluent in the language and culture of Mormonism than Americanism. If you left to eventually find Christ in Christianity - then don't bother speaking - we won't listen to you, you sinning anti! :D

I'll never forget the Catholic priest who, said I had a wonderful understanding of the bible and Gospel, and tried to get me to join the ministry ... until he found out I was a Mormon, he then banned me from his classes which were supposed to be open to all.

The Priest was a leader in the Catholic church, he knew the church's teachings on Mormonism.

... Only Jesus can decide if we are his or not.

I got news, you aren't him, nor even male.

Your pronouncement of our fitness as a group is patently false since Christianity is a thing of the heart (something only God truly knows), so by declaring all Mormonism to be non christian, you are saying that not one of millions of Mormons is right with God, statistically, that's just never going to be true. Your statement is just as false as saying all (place any religion here) are Christians and going to heaven!

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone... Good advice for any who professes Christianity to follow.

God bless and teach you his ways.
Delph

That's OK...Glenn will make it all better...he will retrieve the golden plates, use his microphone at Fox to spread the word of the "restored" gobblydegook...Glenn will pour his truth into the ears of the unbelievers and boost the earnings of the Corporation to new heights, and lastly, HE will smite down all the apostates while certain fans high five with glee.

All things are possible with Glenn if you follow the conversation on FR.

Notice how the poster posed that, as if to say ‘you mean there are nop Momrons who are Christians?’ instead of asking ‘you mean Mormonism will not make Christians out of the lost’? DU is very skilled at violating the many rules of debate, and his favorite tactic is to fabrciate fallacious sentence using the undistributed middle to deceive readers. His red herring business appears to still be flourishing, also. Not so much for his strawmen, however. And yes, he is afraid of women who are assertive on the Truth. ... Want some popcorn, Nana?

I believe we have hit a bump in the road that our conversation will not be able to surpass, as we have fallen into repetitive arguments and points. Again, you ask my belief on the disposition of souls, and again I must answer that my belief in regard to that is irrelevant to the point. I confess that I also believe that your curiosity on this matter is to fathom whether I am Christian enough for your definition. Rest assured, I am not…and would argue neither are you. That’s okay, our Savior died for my sins as well as yours.

I disagree that Glenn Beck’s purpose was to mainstream Mormonism. His call for me to be a better Catholic and you to be a better Bible Christian, or Evangelical, or whatever designation you prefer, seems to be antithetical to that end. The claim that Beck has become the biggest religious leader in the world is unsubstantiated. He has not become mine. Has he become yours? I bet not. Is it possible that he has become someone’s spiritual leader? Possibly.

In the meantime, in case you haven’t noticed, the devil is having a heyday a setting up atheism, hedonism and secular humanism as the default religions of this country and this world. The fact that we quibble about whether Mormons are worthy enough allies to join us in the fight against the devil is surely making him giggle with glee. I will continue to pray for my country, beg God forgiveness, and will welcome anyone that wants to join me in the fight for good.

His call for me to be a better Catholic
____________________________________________________

Juana did beck use the word Catholic ???

I never heard him say “be a better Catholic “

He used the word god as a generic term...

it could have been any god...

a tree hugger god or allah...

For himself beck meant his mormon god...

But in his AA meetings, Beck was taught to call on a “higher power”

The devil is working through Mormonism and I was trying to ascertain if you thought that preventing Christians from being tricked into, and seduced into, joining a non-Christian cult was a serious enough matter to justify taking a look into how Glenn Beck, Mormon proselytizer, has graduated from political radio host into a leader of conservative Christians in discussions of God and America, and our Christian heritage and a new Christian revival.

Do you seriously believe that Beck’s ultimate goal is to leave out Mormonism, and keep it separate from this Christian crusade?
