Oh man, you guys are not Christian at all, are you? Mary is the NT Ark, which carried God for 9 months while growing in her womb.
There is not one verse in Scripture which indicates that the ark foreshadowed Mary. That's merely a Catholic construct used to justify the claim that she was immaculately conceived.
Jesus was carried in Mary; God in the OT was carried in the Ark. I cannot believe that the Reformed have departed from Christianity quite as far as they have.
Jesus' body carried God.He smote His Son on the cross with His wrath.
You can not believe it because.." the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned."1Cr 2:14
Mark, unfortunately those that developed that reading and those that accept it, can not rightly divide Scripture they can not see the types and shadow of Christ, because they do not know who He is or how to find him.
On top of the ark was the mercy seat that was the seat of God.. the blood of the sacrifices was poured onto it as a propitiation for sin.. that ark was a type of Christ
Exd 25:21 And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.
22 And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which [are] upon the ark of the testimony, of all [things] which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.
