The commment of "Doctor" Eckleburg's that I was replying to:

Perhaps muslims aren't such an enemy of Rome afteraall. Perhaps muslims serve a purpose of Rome by further destroying people and cultures which are not under Rome's control.

I just can't believe anyone posted that. Honestly, it reeks. American men, some of them my relatives, fought, suffered, and died in battle with Moslems, and Dr. E. says that. At one time, "Doctor" E. had a comment similar to that removed by the mod.

I guess it's okay, now, to say that Catholics and Moslems are in league to kill "Rome's" enemies, even though good Catholic men and women are serving (and dying) in the US Armed Forces against them. I think it's disgusting. People who spread defamation will answer for every word they say, though. I leave them to God.

When one has an enemy in mind and is implacable demonstrating that hatred, believe it. The Protestant countries overall waited with bated breath during the Siege of Vienna in 1683, and in fact, the leader of the Hungarian Calvinists, Imre Thököly, was the one who started the invasion by inviting the Turkish Grand Vizier Kara Mustafa, to invade Vienna and garnered the support of the Hungarian army.

Turkish domination of Eastern Europe down through the Balkans was fairly set, and the Calvinists wanted them to destroy Catholic Europe in order come in behind like vultures and pick up whatever pieces were left over. And that mindset continues to this day.

"I just can't believe anyone posted that."

Incredulity has long since left this forum. Without needing to name any names we all know that there are a number of anti-Catholic posters who are proven serial liars. It is evident that they maintain a listing of repeatedly disproven anti-Catholic accusations that they insert into any Catholic topic thread to bait Catholics and slander the Church. The pattern has been repeated often enough that I am able to predict which slur will come up next, based upon the length of time since it was last raised, and which of the anti-Catholics will raise it. It really makes them look pathetic.
