It is the hatred of the Love that John Paul II showed towards others that bothers people to want to persecute him even after he has died

What John Paul did was bow before a false god.. no where does Scripture indicate THAT is love..

What is love is bringing the gospel , telling men about Christ.. and telling them to repent and believe the gospel or the wrath of God will fall on them

Would the world think he was a swell and tolerant guy if he did that ? NO

Real love is not letting people go to hell without being given the gospel ..They hung Jesus you know? A measure of our love is not being loved by them,or popular
