Doesn't matter. My Anglican Brother is still my Brother in Christ if he believes The Gospel. His error on the Lord's Supper is only that, an error.
If Jesus came to your house would you offer Him your best or tell him you're saving it for another occasion or donating it to the poor?
Silly question, He already has my complete devotion.
Is it that the discussion of why large churches get built is hitting to close to home?
To me it is like turning your back on all that God offers us, no matter how much we wrap it up in pride.
Are these huge ornate churches really being built for God? If so why do they have to be so big and fancy?
Acts 17:24 The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, 25nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything.
But not your efforts in building a beautiful house of worship?
Are these huge ornate churches really being built for God? If so why do they have to be so big and fancy?
Why huge? Why beautiful? Why awesome?
Why bother? seems to be your attitude. Because God is huge, beautiful and awesome and we have a choice in what to do with the space we worship Him in. We can choose to use the talents He gave us to be his instrument in creating a place of great beauty, a special place; or we can not give a darn and treat it just like any other place.
I'm afraid you're not getting the connection that God uses us and that it is to our benefit to do all we can to use all our senses in devotion to God. God also comes to us through our sense, through Beauty. We cooperate with Him in being His instrument through which Beauty comes into our finite world.
Perhaps this will make sense to you. God makes a place sacred, you can either trash the place up or be God's instrument in bringing forth beauty and grandeur in that place.
Think of your body for example. If it's God's temple, do you have no concern for it - make it a "backroom" or do you have respect and care and make it all that God allows through you?

In the question discussed about Sabbath. If someone believed you were violating God's commandments by celebrating the Lord's Day on Sunday, would he still be your brother in Christ?
Roamer, the converse for you: Are those who violate God's commandment on the Sabbath still your Brother in Christ?
Do you have any idea how old a lot of those “ornate” churches are? You should see Houston’s First Baptist or Second Baptist. They are both rather large. Neither are so large as the House of Joel. First Methodist has a multi-campus spread.
Who are these people worshipping?
