Metmom has had allergies and food allergies her entire life. In the last few years they have gotten steadily and progressively worse. Foods have been dropping out of her diet until she reached the point she is at now and can only eat rice, chicken, lamb, and venison. Anything else causes her to react rather destructively, debilitatingly.
The problem is that the repeated continual exposure to the few remaining foods, could lead to a sensitivity to those as well, which has just happened to two foods she had been safely eating since October.
There are options for nutrition should she start to react to all foods, but they are used only in the most dire situations. She's concerned about reaching that point--and frankly has been feeling more than a little discouraged by all such.
She has undergone extensive medical testing which has all been inconclusive. Almost everything comes back normal or negative, and the few things that she does test positive for arent what causes her the most problems.
She is attempting to get into a regional medical center for more specialized medical evaluation to see if they can determine the cause and possible treatment, if any exists.
She has been prayed for and anointed numerous times over the years, however, she would appreciated continued prayer for complete healing.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND HER PLIGHT with as much empathy as you can. She's been through a 1,001 suggestions and tried a LOT of different things. She's been through the Henry Wright seminar and prayers extensively. I don't think she is quite up to handling any more suggestions currently. Those who've been through such can understand such a feeling. She just greatly would appreciate your understanding and PARTICULARLY YOUR CARING PRAYERS.
This summary is per my understanding and might be stated somewhat differently were she writing it herself. I believe she'd affirm the truth of what I've said but these are essentially my words.
THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR PRAYERS.
Ten inches. Wow.
ppfffftttt. ...
It’s just a trifle.
Honestly, it’s nothing. When we moved out of the snowbelt some years ago, the last winter there we saw 11 FEET of snow in January alone.
Two weekends in a row of over three feet of snow in 48 hours.
On the bright side, it does save on the necessity of having a gym membership.
:)
Prayers up
I used to use arrowroot but haven’t in years, it got kind of expensive. I should look into it again. What I use a lot for sauces and puddings is potato starch; don’t know if it’s gluten free or not, but I think it is.
I love this song “Let Me Wear Him Down” (Book of Job song) with pictures from William Blake:

(Even though satan is involved; ultimately the Lord is in total control!!!)
Don’t I know it! I like it, too.
Prayers up for good weather & some good news on how to treat your condition. Be safe, hugs ~Pandy~
Rest. Wait upon the Lord, be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart. Wait, I say, upon the Lord. (from the Psalms) Be still and know that He is God.
We have 8 inches and it’s snowing... it’s supposed to snow through tomorrow evening. Our snowbelt area has already gotten about 18 inches.
Here we go... eh?
It’s what I figured. The lakes are really warm from the summer and long fall.
I expected that if we got a sudden cold shot of air without the lakes having the opportunity to cool off much, this would happen.
We just need to get past about Rome, NY and we should be free and clear for the rest of the trip.
Travel mercies for you.
Thanks. We’re certainly no strangers to driving in crappy weather, but that said, there’s only so fast you can go in some conditions no matter how much practice you’ve had.
Prayers up for you and your family, metmom. The Lord bless you and keep you. Amen.
(((((Sending Heartfelt Prayers)))))
I love arrowroot. When I live in Oklahoma a friend introduced me to it and I think it tastes better.
Prayers on the way, that has to be horrible.
I found a local either Amish or Mennonite store that sells stuff in bulk and they had it.
I got a 5 lb. bucket, which I will split with my son and some friends, for about $2.50/lb !
I was thrilled.
Really? That’s awesome.
I live in Kahleefawnee-ah and don’t have access the Amish or Mennonites.
INDEED.
THX.
in my prayers.
Prayers up for you.
