If you were really serious to debate for knowledge that would be reasonable but to just want to argue for the sake of arguing. Whats the use in that. It’s like you believe the Bible fell from the sky in perfect english someone found it then said eureka went and told everyone else - end of argument. The Bible came together 300 years later. First came the Church then the individual writings that had to be separated from several dozen phony so called Gospels so they had a meeting to make a genuine complete book. Thats a historical fact. But if we debate just to argue only -Whats the point. May God Bless you all - have a Good Night

CCC1323 "At the Last Supper, on the night he was betrayed, our Savior instituted the Eucharistic sacrifice of his Body and Blood. This he did in order to perpetuate the sacrifice of the cross throughout the ages until he should come again, and so to entrust to his beloved Spouse, the Church, a memorial of his death and resurrection: a sacrament of love, a sign of unity, a bond of charity, a Paschal banquet 'in which Christ is consumed, the mind is filled with grace, and a pledge of future glory is given to us.'"
"While they were eating, Jesus took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and giving it to his disciples said, "Take and eat; this is my body" --Matt 26:26.

"We should never again use the expression, 'When Jesus was on earth' or think of Him as being only in heaven, Jesus is still on earth." ... "While all the sacraments confer grace, the Eucharist contains the author of grace, Jesus Christ Himself" --Fr. John Hardon, S.J.

By whose sayso?

You would have to click the link to read about St. Padre Pio. Not all that many people have received the stigmata. His is a very special story.

How is what happened to him any different than alien abduction tales?

The Bible says that we will know those that belong to Him by their fruits.

If Pio was saying, teaching, promoting things that were against scripture then he most certainly wasn’t filled with the Holy Spirit.

Nowhere in Scripture are bleeding wounds shown as being a message from God. No message from God has ever been close to that.

As for apparitions, fallen angels can appear to men as whatever they want to appear as.

The Bible warns us not to be fooled by signs and wonders.

All that matters in determining if Pio was a Christian is to examine his fruits and compare them to Scripture. If he was following and obeying Christ as instructed in the Bible, and he was not following any doctrines of men or demons, then we will know he was God’s as well as we can.

I have absolutely no doubt he would mirror Christ’s words,

“Get away from me you workers of lawlessness, I never knew you”.

Pio did not ask it if Christ came in the flesh.

It’s goal was to lend credence to anti-Christian concepts. Therefore, the evidence says that it was from Satan.

Precisely, exactly, but you saw that silliness called the Gospel of Thomas and the catechism. “New Eve, Meditrix, instructor of the apostles....Mary wouldn't recognize herself.

"A few weeks later, on September 20, 1918, Padre Pio was praying in the choir loft in the Church of Our Lady of Grace, when the same Being who appeared to him on August 5, appeared again. It was the wounded Christ. When the ecstasy ended, Padre Pio had received the Visible Stigmata, the five wounds of Christ, which would stay with him for his remaining 50 years" --St. Padre Pio

Do you believe everything someone tells you?

2 Corinthians 11:14-15 14And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

If it doesn't agree with Scripture, it's not of God.

“Register” me as well! My knee bows and my tongue has confessed that Jesus Christ is LORD to the glory of God the Father! There is NO OTHER NAME given under heaven whereby we must be saved. Amen!!!

Jesus himself said no one comes to the Father but by him. I will take him at his word! All to Jesus I surrender!

Signs and wonders occur in the bible when God wants to prove that He is God. They manifested when the Israelites were taken, by God, out of Egypt, and again in the NT, when God took for himself, a people out of the Gentile nations.

Other than the Resurrection, Jesus said, no sign will be given.

What exactly would be the purpose of having some individual manifest these signs?

“If it doesn’t agree with Scripture, it’s not of God.”

The gist of the matter, the touch stone of belief.

“If you were really serious to debate for knowledge that would be reasonable...”

Please let me know what tea leaves you read or what crystal ball you consulted to get the “knowledge” that I am not serious about this issue. It looks like you need fresh batteries for it. If it were me, I’d return it as sorcery is forbidden.

“...but to just want to argue for the sake of arguing.”

Is that why you’re here? Because, you can only know about yourself. Your statement above appears to be projection.

“Whats the use in that.”

Indeed. Please let us know.

“It’s like you believe the Bible fell from the sky in perfect English someone found it then said eureka went and told everyone else - end of argument.”

Is this your way of saying the argument should now be about the inerrancy of the Word? Or are you trying to imply that the Romeians wrote the Bible. If the latter is the case than how come the Bible shows Rome to be anti-Christian?

“The Bible came together 300 years later. First came the Church then the individual writings that had to be separated from several dozen phony so called Gospels so they had a meeting to make a genuine complete book.”

None of the above is true. Romeians didn’t come around until centuries after Christ. The Body of Christ had the Bible put to paper way before the first Pope donned his hat. Copies of the Bible books can be found on paper from right up to the time the New Testament authors were still alive.

“Thats a historical fact.”

Well, I guess because you declared it, then it must be true. After all, your other posts on this thread have been true... oh wait, they weren’t, sorry...

“But if we debate just to argue only -Whats the point.”

I accept your defeat and unconditional surrender. However, my goal was to preach the Word and bring the truth of Christ my King into the lives of all who read my posts. And I did it without a single cat picture. I pray that He will bring you out of Rome and to Him.

“May God Bless you all - have a Good Night”

May God bless you too and I pray you have a good night too.

You and a cast of thousands.

And the hollow wail that “they weren’t correctly taught the Catechism” is absurd with a huge percentage of them.
