"My dear Brother Dutchboy my prayer is to encourge not critize , but thou protests too much.

What do the words “The Good News” of the Holy Spirit real mean to you. I will give you “Northern, Southern, Eastern, Inner and Outer mysticism.”

Your harshness, belittles the Gift, did not Christ die for ALL? Yes God calls those he chooses and those who have not been called, simply have heard.

The harshness and persecution in the World, is like the Spear plunged in the side of Christ, it pains him, but also furthers his plans for us all. Repentance is part of his plan and is for your own benefit and is born of the Holy Spirit By the Grace of God for all Men.

“Those of us who revere the Book will” will have the truth revealed by the Spirit, for we enter into his Presence in spirit"

I had to copy this entire post simply to point out its similarities to open theology positions. We would expect such goofy statements from a Brian MacLaren, but at least he acknowledges that basic understandings of the Gospel no longer hold. At least he tips the boat over and tells you that universalism is what Jesus really meant. Your stuff attempts to hold on to the railing while kicking a hole in hull.

Count this as harsh as you wish, but the spear in the side of our Savior occurred in time/space history. Your concepts will never enter the realm of reality.

Ducthboy your words are filled with Orthodoxy, and you seem to use the Holy Bible and God's Law as a very pointed sword to prick others.

Even though you use that sword to goad me and my goofy statements, I am under the shield of God's Grace given through his sacrifice by his Holy Spirit.

The only holes I am kicking in the ship are those filled with men's own works and the only rail I grasp is God's Grace which is Universal, even the wicked are it's beneficiaries.

"The Parable of the Pebble and the Pond" is from my own experience of the Pebble (The Holy Spirit) and the Pond (My response to it).

I guess I am at a loss as to which of my "concepts" you find so objectionable. Our God is a Paradox and leaves it to each of us to balance our understanding of the Law and Scripture through our experience of the Holy Spirit.
