Lying inside a high security vault, deep within the heart of one of the worlds leading museums, is a discovery that will change textbooks, change science, and change how we understand the human race.
The author of Untitled has been given exclusive access to all of the research and the team of top scientists who have been validating the discovery, the announcement of which will send shock waves around the world.
The discovery will be announced at a major press conference followed by a media blitz and a documentary that will air on the History Channel following the press conference.
More deception?
Folks, this is all about Ida, the new fossile. They have the evidence on this. Ida and his kin built cities and had a written language, and just wait until the artists renderings are complete which they are working on furiously in order to make it into next years science books. They lived in harmony, had a zero carbon footprint, there was no murder or crime. Some of their early writings warned of their offspring becoming a virus to the planet, and becoming extremists and the texts warn of holding onto vast superstitions and distorted views on the origins of all things. They were worried about these truths being lost to time and now they have been dicovered. All is lost. Even now the Pope is meeting with them urging them not to release the information. Tom Hanks is at the table as well, trying to copyright it all for his next movie. It is reported that priests in Rome and jumping from spires. /sarcasm off

Don't forget the part about how they were all vegans and worshiped earth mother Gaea.
I heard that....Guess they thought no one would be able to
find out there May 25th...Great Discovery!
NOT!
Just more drivel from the History Channel...:(
Perhaps it’s a “major award”.
I’ll bite. [However, I don’t have the inclination to follow the Hal Lindsey links as I had come to my conclusions years before Lindsey arrived on the scene.] Exactly what in Revelation leads you to believe that it is not talking about a “modern, secular Israel”?
Far from being a “red herring”, Origen is recognized by many as the father of the doctrines which marginalized Israel and led many to the unbiblical view [yes, I can say that too! :] that the Church inherits the promises to Israel that God has yet to fulfill.
Everything (along with the rest of the Bible). There is nothing there that can be conclusively pinned on modern Israel.

Marginalized Israel in this day and age is largely a futurist fantasy. It is generally used by futurists as a reference to folks who do not agree with the dispensationalist schema. If one has an unbiblical view of Israel, as most futurists do, then everyone looks like an Origen.
RE: Hal Lindsey. Personally, I would not touch his theology with a 144 cubit pole. He's more often wrong than right.
I hope it’s on time travel, that sounds interesting. Monday night’s not good for me though. But if it’s a how-to show perhaps when I have more time on Thursday I can go back to Monday and watch it.
Do you believe in a literal return of Christ to earth?
Do you believe in a 1000 year reign of Christ on earth?
Do you believe in a literal 7 year period of “tribulation”?
Yeah Watchman, I know you weren’t really posting to me directly, but I’m in there for some reason... :-)
I’m so enthused to answer these questions, though, I just had to do it...
—
Do you believe in a literal return of Christ to earth?
Absolutely yes! Just like they saw Him go, He’s gonna come on back. Same body, same way, same place.
—
Do you believe in a 1000 year reign of Christ on earth?
Well, of course I do! Don’t tell me that there are some Christians who don’t believe that. LOL...
—
Do you believe in a literal 7 year period of tribulation?
And there you’ve got another big “Yes!”. But, don’t count on me being in my old body during the time. I’m being outfitted for a new one, coming up soon.
Really?! How can anyone call themselves a Christian and not believe that. I wouldn’t be believing other kinds of “doctrines of demons” if I were other so-called Christians... :-)
So we both agree that Christ is going to return to earth.
As far as the millennium being now, I fall back on one of Missler’s quips: “If this is the Millennium, then the chain is too long!” This is a reference to Rev 20:3. My version reads: “... that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years shall be fulfilled.” To the best of your observation, would you say that the world is filled with “nations who are deceived by Satan” or “nations which are not deceived by Satan”?
Continuing further in Rev 20, what was the “mark of the beast” which was put on men’s foreheads and hands? Since those who did NOT receive it reign with Christ during the Millennium, then this must be from the past. When and where did this occur?
Do you believe in a 1000 year reign of Christ on earth? The Millenium is now. Christ reigns now. He sits on the throne at the right hand of the Father. Right now, our God reigns!
*When did this happen*?
In 2000? what happened to the Church Age??
Jesus sits at the right hand of the father is not Millenium, hasn’t he always been there?
Topcat- You always say Israel has no merit in End Time Prophecy, however Jesus said he would return there, if that’s the case what’s to ensure Israel will always be there?
Especially: Since Iran is seeking to wipe them off the map?
I know. It was the cows and sheep and anteaters that got me:
This little creature is going to show us our connection with the rest of all the mammals; with cows and sheep, and elephants and anteaters,"
I fall back on one of Misslers quips:
See post 145
Well, Missler IS a rocket scientist! Do you have direct evidence that Mars did NOT make a close approach to the earth around 700B.C.?
Be that as it may, why not answer MY question? Do you see more nations “not being deceived” or “being deceived” right NOW. How do your direct observations correlate with Revelation 20? If our observations don’t match a hypothesis, but we continue to hold to that hypothesis, then who is living the “fantasy”?
On the other hand, I have no qualms about Revelation 20 since, not believing that I am living in the Millennium, I do not have to explain why Satan, far from being chained, seems to have the run of the place and I am not surprised the the nations, even ours, behaving as if they were deceived. For me, there is no “disconnect” between Revelation 20 and my observations.
[One should note that I have posted to this thread multiple times, now, and I have yet to call anyone a name. I also am a great fan of R.C. Sproul and have spent many hours listening to his tapes and reading his books, but I disagree strongly with his eschatology.]

I also don't have direct evidence that fairies and leperchans don't exist, so I guess they do.
Let's see. Mars passed by earth at a distance of less than half that of Earth's moon, changed Earth's orbit and year length, and didn't affect the Moon's orbit around the Earth, didn't cause massive earthquakes, didn't cause catastrophic tidal effects and wasn't seen or recorded by anyone. Riiiiight.
Missler's comments about Mars were on his podcast, back in December or thereabouts. If you want to dig it up. Me, I've heard enough. He's a crank.
BTW, back before Jesus' resurrection, ascension and session, saving knowledge of God was, with rare exceptions, limited to the Jews. "To them were entrusted the oracles of God." "We worship what we know."
Immediately thereafter, with God's anointed at His right hand, the gospel started to go to the ends of the earth. "For from the rising of the sun to its setting my name will be great among the nations, and in every place incense will be offered to my name, and a pure offering. For my name will be great among the nations, says the LORD of hosts." And so it is. Satan is restrained. (Don't think that we are incapable of generating plenty of evil on our own.) It will not always be so. For a brief period at the end the accuser will be loosed. I suspect it'll be obvious.
I also am a great fan of R.C. Sproul and have spent many hours listening to his tapes and reading his books, but I disagree strongly with his eschatology.
Eschatology per se is not the trigger that gets me worked up. It's what a certain school does to the gospel to make it fit their eschatology.

BTW, I don't think RC has ever settled finally on an eschatological position, other than that he's not a dispensationalist.
The thousand years ended awhile ago, why hasn't He returned and established His Kingdom on Earth?
