No, actually, he was not. That’s Catholic ‘truth’ not biblical truth.
To: big'ol_freeper
And of course they were always right...NOT.
To: Marysecretary
You can pretend to have your own truth if you want, but nonetheless, Peter was the first Pope.

As long as you know that only through Jesus and receiving Him into your heart is the way to salvation, that’s what counts. None of the other stuff really does.

The Catholic Church does not teach that, in fact it specifically rejects it. She is practically called a co-redeemer. RCs pray to her, make statues of her, sing to and about her, trust her with all of your troubles and cares, ascribe very unusual charactaristics to her, but......."we don't worship her".

She is practically called a co-redeemer. If by practically, you mean "not," sure.

Truth was the greatest sin of the reformers. RCC just didn’t agree with it and did their own thing.

Acts 4:12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. I just read this yesterday and was reminded of RC doctrine that says one must believe this, that and the other thing about Mary to be saved. That RC doctrine sure opposes this verse.

Truth was the greatest sin of the reformers. If by "truth" you mean lies like sola fide and sola scriptura, then I guess that's true.

So you DO have your own truth?
That’s nice. Doesn’t affect reality, though.

AMEN. Thank you! (Did we collaborate on this, LOL?)
To: Antoninus
Prayers are answered only by God through His Son. Give HIM the credit for the miraculous.
To: gost2
Scriptural authority and Christian doctrine has been hashed out over the last five hundred years by thousands of Protestant scholars and every point has been hammered and forged, proven and settled upon.LOL
Settled upon? Which of the 20,000 versions is the settled one?

I sneaked a peek at your caucus thread on ‘Don’t Feed the Trolls.’ No collaboration there, I’m sure, to drive US nuts.

...but then simultaneously believe the only way to worship is in slavery to a discredited hundreds of times over human institution.First, nice grammar. LOL
Second, you are not describing the Catholic Church.
