Joyful News!

I have been neglectful in posting updates on the young Muslim boy, Karim, who is suffering from an incurable, flesh eating disease. Karim and his mother, Ebtisfam will be received into the Catholic Church, sometime in September, when Fr. Antonio Elfeghali comes to visit. them in Michigan I will post more information on this on Monday. In the meantime, please take a moment to offer up a prayer of thanksgiving to our Lord and His Blessed Mother! Thank you all for your prayers! God bless youl!

Now come on. This is superstitious nonsense.

Just because the Apostles were able to cure sicknesses, doesn’t mean that the Church can. Just because the Bible proves that the Church is who she says she is, doesn’t mean that it is so.

Mary? Ehhh. Just because she is the perfect vessel into which the Holy Spirit poured, conceived Jesus, bore Him, mothered Him and followed Him until His death upon the Cross, was present at Pentecost, and was received unto heaven doesn’t mean anything at all.

Nope. She is worthy only of the scorn and the spittle of the anti Catholic philistines.

Oh ye of little faith. Your post coincided with my #2. Please read it and draw faith from it. Then go and pray for our separated brethren.

"Mary is not like any other children of Adam, stained with sin. No! The Angel called her FULL OF GRACE AND BLESSED AMONGST WOMEN. Mary is the Mother of Jesus Christ and consequently Mother of God. There is no higher dignity to which a creature can be raised. The Gospel says that the generations will proclaim her blessed and you are trying to despise her and look down on her. Your spirit is not the spirit of the Gospel or of the Bible which you proclaim to be the foundation of the Christian religion."

Yeah, fourteen year olds talk like that all the time! [rolls eyes]

"Mommy, I have found the 'Hail Mary' in the Bible which says: 'Hail full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou amongst women.' Why do you call it a superstitious prayer?"

Because, I don't know, IT'S NOT A PRAYER ?

Only those 14 year olds who read Luke, apparently.

Nothing is impossible for God or His mother.

Hail Mary full of Grace... Blessed are you among women.

I have been following.

I think that there are many that would believe the lunacy of a Benny Hinn, rather than a real life documented case. Well, as long as they’re not Catholic, life is rosy and selection to the elite is guaranteed.

It is a superstitious prayer of Catholics who adore idols and think Mary a goddess.

What she said.

Hey dont dis Da Ben! His hair alone is a miracul!

Looks like the Dims little Protestant vs Catholic wedge issue is about the only toe hold they have. Time to break out the clippers and cut it short.

This supercedes all the Mary issues. This IS the word!

John 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

Play nice now my fellow children.

One little passage, one little phrase, so much doctrine.

Lee, I was looking at some Greek, and came up with a question. Was Stephen also immaculately conceived? (Okay, everyone knows where this is going...)

Really? Is this a prayer?
"Yea though I walk through the valley of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me."
Well? Is it?

*He is the priest who is speaking to you now! What I am I owe to Our Lady. You, too, my dear brethren, be entirely dedicated also to Our Lady and never let a day pass without saying the beautiful prayer, ‘Hail Mary’, and your Rosary. Ask her to enlighten the minds of Protestants who are separated from the true Church of Christ founded on the Rock (Peter) and ‘against whom the gates of hell shall never prevail.’”**

What a beautiful story. God bless Father Tuckwell.

The angel said the "Hail Mary" line to Mary.

The passage from Psalm 23 is part of the book of Psalms, which are specifically songs written to praise God.

So they can't possibly be considered equivalent.

Second, Jesus, Himself, was asked how to pray, and responded with what we now know as the Lord's Prayer.

If we as Christians, were to pray to saints or others such as Mary, why didn't Jesus, Himself, mention Moses or someone from the book of Judges? Or David, or Solomon?

But I hope you don’t believe that. The prayer is in the Bible.

Maybe you can tell me why Protestants don’t take this passage literally as they interpret many other passages literally.

It stumps me.
