Scott Hahn, Peter Kreeft and Dave Armstrong on the net are a few suggestions.
I'll check them out...I know many former Catholics who converted to Protestantism...But none who converted to Catholicism...
I suspect they have a week belief in the bible but I'll check them out...
"I suspect they have a week belief in the bible but I'll check them out..."
If you truly read Scott Hahn's story, you will eat those words.
**week belief**
Does this mean the believe for only seven days?
Yes indeed. Week by week. In my case, and the case of many others, day by day as we attend Mass or read our "office". And today I was assigned a penance of .... wait for it ... reading the Bible more, and I EAGERLY accepted! PLEASE don't throw me in that briar patch! ;-)
DO check Scott Hahn, bearing in mind that most conversion stories are written by the young and still somewhat bemused. And be careful that you don't put yourself in a circular argument trap. It's easy (btdt) to assume and then to hide the assumption from oneself, that being RC necessarily implies a "weak" belief in Scripture -- and then, having brought that into the cave with you, you find that it is there in the cave. It's VERY hard to stand back, I find.
I was taught long ago that if you didn't have anything nice to say to someone, not to say it at all.
I don't always follow that, but I think I can make an exception here and hold my tongue.
I will pray for you though; that your "Jack Chick"-like faith be changed and actually Christian.
God Bless you.
As for your post, I don't even know where to start, it is ignorant, infantile, libelous, out-right false, and so much more. I pity the author for his hate and venom and stupidity.
?????
Because of my deep reading of the scriptures and the church fathers and history I decided that I had to be catholic to be in alignment with the church that Jesus founded. Your mileage may vary.
Scott Hahn a weak belief in the bible???
ROTFLMAO!!!!
You don't have a clue who Hahn is do you?
Here's a clue....he knows alot more about the bible than you do.
Andrew Ferguson (writes for American Spectator and Weekly Standard, among other publications) and Sen. Brownback converted to Roman Catholicism from the Episcopal and Methodist churches, repsectively. I don't know what Laura Ingraham was before she became Roman Catholic. Lawrence Kudlow was Jewish before converting to Roman Catholicism.
week belief?
