I stand by my statments and God knows the motives of my heart.
I do not defend what you call the protestant church. I stand with Christ and His Word. Denominations including the RCC are a thing of men not Christ. There is only one true church and that is the saved by Christ church. It's members are in many churches and in some places very much alone, but they have Christ and He has them. They do not have to add one thing to what Christ did for them on His cross and they do not try. Yet they lay their lives down daily because of the love between their Lord and them.
The rest of what you say is the point of view that generally seems to go with the Sola Scriptura line of country. Invisible Church and so forth. The problem is that it's my reading of Scripture and prayer that were a big part of what led my to joint what I think is the Church and not a denomination.
The Catholic Church is not a denomination. It is the one universal Church of Christ Jesus. Everything else is an imitation begun by men. Calling oneself non-denominational seems merely self-justification for creating one's own dogma and not being called out on it.
