At the Crucifixion, John represented the entire Church, He gave His mother to the Church, we took her as our mother.

That is simply goofy! Touchy feely and just goofy.

**That is simply goofy! Touchy feely and just goofy.**

Nevertheless, it is what the Bible says. Why don't you believe it?

Because he hath regarded the humility of his handmaid; for behold from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. (Luke 1:48)

If YOU refuse to do this, then you're the one who denies your mother, NOT ME.

I sense that I am getting myself in trouble so I will go back to where I left off posting yesterday. Sorry to bump in like that.

By whose Authority do you speak? You are into sola scriptura. His view and that of 1 billion Catholics is no "goofier" than yours. Trot out your proof text; he'll find 200 Church Fathers who would have argued his very point from the second century on.

No. It is the unbroken teaching of Christians since the earliest era of the Church. You have not been instructed in the faith received and handed on by the saints. It is difficult to comprehend when the instruction you have received is an innovation about the Gospel message of Jesus' Church rather than the message itself which is found in its fulness in the Catholic Church and some would argue also in the Orthodox Churches.
