the problem for those looking for middle ground on these issues is that no legitimate middle ground exists.

Aristotle wouldn't gainsay a moral absolute. I doubt that he would have a difficult time coming up with a list of them either.

There is no middle moral ground with Christian absolutes, that is morality and imperatives. Homosexual practices are immoral, therefore wrong. That's about as clear-cut as anything can be.

What I fail to understand is why ANY Christian, homosexual or not, thinks that there IS "middle moral ground" about homosexual practices.
Pope Benedict XVI is correct about the evils of moral equivalence. I just don't know how Christians ever GET there.
