It isn’t out of place for a Calvinist to say Calvinism is the gospel.

John Calvin wouldn't say it. In fact, I think he'd be rather appalled.

And speaking of Paul, he wouldn't say it either.

Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? I wonder what Calvin would say if he could step into one of today's mega-churches. We know he certainly wouldn't enter a Catholic Church.

Do I believe Mary remained a virgin? No. Do I believe in consubstantiation? No. Do I believe in infant baptism? Currently no but I'm open. None of these are fundamental principles of how God saves men.
