Actually I was being facetious. I remember growing up in the few churches I attended they use to have kneeing rails that would swing out from under the pews. During service they would be swung out and people would kneel to pray.

Many churches no longer have these devices as they are "cost prohibitive". We can give money to missions but cannot afford to pay to kneel to God. Too bad.

There is a good list of signs to look out for in order to avoid certain ultra-liberal Catholic parishes. I am sure it's been posted here at least a dosen times. From memory:

• Tabernacle tucked away in a corner or altogether hidden from view
• Absence of the Cross prominently displayed or empty cross without Christ
• Absence of kneelers
• Absence of statues or icons of the patron saint and the Virgin Mary
• Absence of stations of the Cross
• Confessional hidden from view
• A drum set
• Some mumbo-jumbo about the "community of faith" in the Mission Statement, especially if obedience to the Magisterium is not mentioned at all
• Altar girls
• A squad of "Eucharistic ministers" serving a half-empty church.
