Rome, Nov. 03, 2005 (CNA) - The document from the Congregation for Catholic Education on the admittance of homosexuals in seminaries will be published this Friday. The Document counts on the approval of Pope Benedict XVI, and reaffirms the Catholic position that homosexuals can not be accepted into seminaries.

The text refering exclusively to the candidates to priesthood, is based upon the Catholic position regarding homosexuality, and is placed in a context in which the issue has been raised acutely. Morevoer, the Church has addressed the issue in numerous occasions.

In the past months, the Secretary of the Congregation for Catholic Education, Archbishop Michael Miller, has been visiting the 220 seminaries in the United States, to verify if the preparation of seminarians is conform to a life of celibacy. The archbishop will publish a document related to theses visits.

Oh, you want to bet some "progressive" Cardinal or bishop will come out and say something like "the matter isn't closed."

I think he is referring to Cdl. Kasper.

No way. The document will be clear enough to those of us who can read linearlly, yet not clear enough that the relativists can't read into it what they want.

I predict that the relatvists will take a don't ask don't tell approach to homosexuals in seminaries.

Mahoney is to the "left" of Kaspar, IMHO. I cannot forget his b____chy campaign to "get" Mother Angelica, despite the open support she was getting from JPII.

Yes, but Cdl. Kasper, right after the Synod had released its final report, questioned the conclusions it reached on divorced and remarried Catholics.

Cardinal Kasper questions Synod conclusion on divorce and Communion

Which is why I think he was referring to Cdl. Kasper.

What's happened to the "3 years without nookie" provision?

Could it be BS? More homosexual agitprop?

Surely not!!

Shoot, if we held a pool that some "progressive" scalawag would say "the matter isn't closed" or "what the Vatican really meant was....", we could make a fortune and retire!

Here in Los Angeles, we have an openly homosexual deacon who just redesigned the archdiocesan web site. I doubt that the new document will be linked there, however.

But, but, but.... John Allen's anonymous source SAID that "gays" would be allowed in if they could keep it in their pants for 3 years!

John Allen wouldn't lie, would he?

One of the catholic blogs did a writeup on this. From an 'artistically' critical perspective, I like the new web site. Now I'm no fan of Mahony, much less his gay deacon but what struck me was the listing of parishes offering the Mass in a multitude of languages, from African-American? to Vietnamese. Check out the

Liturgy in Your Language link.

It's quite impressive. Of course this raises the obvious question of authenticity, especially in the LA Archdiocese, but I won't go there, especially since English is not listed at that link.

There is one notable language missing from that list: Latin.

Te Deum Laudamus!!

Now that Benedict XVI is coming into his own, and can take the reins of his own agenda without disrespecting the legacy of his predecessor, I'm beginning to know what it felt like for the Christians to be able to emerge into the open after the Battle of the Milvian Bridge.

What a glorious time, when we orthodox Catholics can begin to emerge, not from a persecution from outide the Faith, but the persecution we have suffered at the hands of "our own."

In Hoc Signo Vinces, indeed!

Benedikt, Gott Geschickt!
