By my count that makes 5 solid liberals, 6 solid conservatives, one who is presumed liberal and one the author cites as being reliable to vote the 'right way'. If as I infer the author is conservative, then this would be at least 8 members leaning to orthodoxy. That's pretty ggod, though the chairman has more power than simply a vote. For an Anglican institution, it's rather well packaged. The problem still remains that it is very bureaucratic and the process is unconsiounable, making the presumption of guilt lie with those protesting their ordinary episcopal oversight (and thus leaning institutionally to supporting revisionism).
I wonder if the Holy Spirit was consulted here.
