been reading FR for a long time. only posted in past two weeks. what is the diference between salvation and redemption?
To redeem something is to recover its value.
To save something is to rescue it from some peril or loss.
Similar, but different.
Jesus redeemed man by desmonstrating the value of the human person, thereby re-establishing man's value.
Jesus saved man by exchanging his life for man's sins, thereby sparing from hell those men who are willing to acknowledge the great price paid by Christ.
