The magisterium has been, but I do have to agree with the traditionalists that Rome has tolerated far too many bishops and universities spreading heresies and lies.

Well, one can argue with that, no doubt. I give the Pope the benefit of the doubt in this matter. Perhaps things have fallen into such a sorry state there was nobody to replace the current Bishops and perhaps more, rather than less, evil would have been done to the common good by replacing all those who appear to need replacing.

The Pope surely knows more about the situation than those who presume otherwise.
