I think these Ark searchers are con men, bilking money out of gullable supporters.

I've looked through the researchers website and there's nothing although it was recently updated. I suspect the results will be "inconclusive". Non-christians will jeer (which is OK) and these "arkeologists" will write books of their experiences and need more tax-deductible trips through the generous contributions of Christians for other trips so they can write other books about other future inconclusive journeys. (Do I sound a tad cynical?)
Like all artifacts, if they found a ship up there tomorrow non-Christians will say it proves nothing and (some) Christians will build a shrine to it worshipping the created rather than the Creator.

I've been looking, too--that is, searching Google for recent news. I'm told that the climbers are scheduled to come down from the mountain on Sunday, August 15th. If found, the discovery of a large wooden vessel similar to the one described in the Book of Genesis would be a remarkable find indeed.

I am anxious myself to find out. I know there are problems with rebel Kurds in Turkey right now, which caused the delay in the first place. I contacted on of the expedition people and he acted very hush-hush about it. Maybe for safety they cannot say. I know time for favorable weather is just about up, so either they will return soon or it did not happen. My guess is we will soon hear they found it. They KNOW where they are looking and it is just a matter of getting there safely.By the way, I am new here so forgive any stupidity.

It's mostly about faith and science has little to do with it.

I met a pilot once who claimed to have seen the thing on Ararat from a plane he was flying.
He was, I believe, a respectable guy, was the husband of one of my daughter's school teachers in elementary school.
This was a while ago, since daughter is now a senior in college.
