receiving Communion in the hand

What's wrong with communion in the hand?

All the solitaries in the desert, where there is no priest, take the communion themselves, keeping communion at home. And at Alexandria and in Egypt, each one of the laity, for the most part, keeps the communion, at his own house, and participates in it when he likes. For when once the priest has completed the offering, and given it, the recipient, participating in it each time as entire, is bound to believe that he properly takes and receives it from the giver. And even in the church, when the priest gives the portion, the recipient takes it with complete power over it, and so lifts it to his lips with his own hand. (St. Basil of Caesarea, Epistle 93)

And please don't tell me that God is equally pleased with girls dressed like Britany Spears chewing gum ... than he is with people who took the time to dress appropriately and prepare adequately for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and Holy Communion.

That's confusing the issue. Persons who dress inappropriately can show up at a Tridentine too. You're confusing the rite with the people who come to it.

The question is quite simple: at a Novus Ordo, celebrated reverently according to the rubrics, is Christ offered as a propitiatory sacrifice to the Father? And when a communicant receives Communion at a Novus Ordo service, does he receive Christ both spiritually and sacramentally? Those who say that the Novus Ordo has no efficacy but only validity must say: no, Christ is not so offered as a sacrifice at a Novus Ordo Mass and no, Christ is received only sacramentally, but no grace is given and therefore He is not received spiritually.

It's a sacrilege and meant to intentionally diminish belief in the Real Presence.

No, different rites attract different people. Give me one example of a clown Tridentine Mass or a Gay Tridentine Mass.

The priest no longer gives it to the majority of recipients in Amchurch Novus Ordo Masses. The likes of a divorced, Miss Penelope Polyesterslacks, an EEM, along with 17 others (I counted them myself at the last NO Mass I suffered) does the honors.

By the way, the "celebrating" priest only gave Holy Communion to the EEM's. He then sat down and sang the Communion folk ditty and watched his elves do their jobs.

But what's not debatable is the implicit insult of ignoring the Sacrifice of Christ offered to the Father by focusing primarily on ourselves. The Novus Ordo "presider" no longer even calls himself a priest; nor is he much interested in the sacrifice. It's all about us. THAT'S what makes it so offensive to Heaven.
