How? The way we did for 1962 years before V2. Why was it WRONG to attend, support and participate in pagan, heretical and schismatic services for 195 decades and then VOILA`, excepting the SSPX, all is OK? God changed? The Church changed?
The Church's understanding has developed. It has caught up with God's understanding.
I'm old enough to remember this--and the rule is still applicable.
In the good old days, no Catholic was allowed to PARTICIPATE in a non-Catholic service. However, they could OBSERVE (sit in the back, act civilized) such services.
Of course, there were the Scrupulous, who simply would not go into a Prot church for any reason whatsoever.
Scruples evidently still have a few adherents.
Perhaps you can demonstrate where saying an "Our Father" with a Prot is, say, disobedient to the Pope, or is a violation of Canon Law...1917 or 1983?
You must have a citation which definitively proves that these activities are sinful, right?
Well, then, come up with it!
