If they try to hold things up, Arnold needs to pick a Dem legislator and make an example of him. Name a name (in a vulnerable district), and make it his mission to discredit the scalawag (I'm a northerner but this term fits best, methinks).

Nah they will try the same thing that they have successfully pulled in other states with Dem Legislatures and R Governors. They willtry and force AHnold to compromise on a Tax Increase scheme in hopes that the Conservative base will abandon him.

But, in Cali the Conservative Base has voted for McClintock, so this may be the one place that gambit fails. Unfortunately, here in Alabama the ole Dem bait & Switch worked to Perfection, and Bob Riley is a dead duck in 3 years.
