ARKKKKKKKCCCCCCHHHHHH!!!!!!! My computer's sick!!!! The font keeps changing sizes on me.
Sounds to me like it's time for some tough love with your computer. Show it who's boss until you reach an understanding. (Pray for a "miraculous mechanical healing." ... Don't laugh! It's worked for me on more than one occasion!)
HELP!!!!!
Okay. I'll get your vehicle out of the shed, but the rest is up to you....

Speaking of HELP!!!
I've never started a FR thread (and am not sure I have the ambition right now to figure out which place such a thread should be placed LOL). I just posted the info below on the
the Dose and OWF suggested that it should be its own thread. I believe it's another reason why our work here "getting the word out" on FR is important:
Post #212 on the Dose:
From:
Best of the Web:
Who's Missing? The U.S. State Department Web site features a page linking to "famous speeches" of American history, including Patrick Henry's "Give me liberty or give me death," Washington's Farewell Address and Lincoln's Gettysburg address. But the choice of more-recent orators is, shall we say, somewhat limited. It includes two links to Martin Luther King speeches, including the "I have a dream" speech, which is one of the great orations of the 20th century. The list also includes FDR, JFK, LBJ, Carter and Clinton--five of the seven Democrats who served in the White House during the 20th century--and even a speech by Hillary Clinton.
But there's nothing from Eisenhower, Reagan, either Bush--or, for that matter, from any Republican other than Lincoln.
--
Anybody know who all we should write to complain about this travesty!? (I mean: Hillary Clinton warrants a speech there and Reagan doesn't!?)

My husband is a tech for IBM and much of his work involves servicing Point Of Sale machines(cash registers). He has a very funny routine where he invokes the spirits and does a laying of the hands and and shouts HEAL!!!!!!!! while quietly plugging the machine back into the wall.
As he says, that 6 inch distance between the plug and the outlet might as well be the Atlantic ocean if you want smething to work!!!

Because of your wonderful statement on all these different theads, I have doubled my usual monthly contribution. I know so many FReepers would like to contribute, but just aren't able to do so. So it is up to some of us to step in and help a bit more. Come on, you who are able to, we have to pull together to keep this wonderful forum going!

Anybody know who all we should write to complain about this travesty!? Since it's the State Department's website, I would suggest starting with Colin Powell.

ROFL!!!!!!!!!
He gets me laughing so hard when those things happen that I wind up with tears coming down my face. Because he tells them with such seriousness you would think there had been some major crisis, until he gets to the punch line.
The best was him taking a call on a Saturday night, which is his regular day off, but he was checking his screen for the following morning and saw this call for a Pizza Hut 3 miles from our house, so he took it, because their main register's printer was not working, which meant none of the printers were working at all.
Long story short - I'm sure some heads rolled over that call because Pizza hut got charged for the service call - minimum charge is 4 hours at double time. The connection from the register to the printer had come loose.
Hubby was home 30 minutes after he left and got paid for 4 hours at double time, all because someone was too stupid to check the cables.

LOL ...Something like that happened to my hubby's department .. thing is, these guys usually make fun of their clients about that
This one day they had this huge problem were they couldn't get the connections to work ... They looked into the boxes and they were all connected .. the IMB guys were telling them is was the lines and the telephone guys were telling them it was the hardware. They had to rip up the floor and follow the cables to see if one went bad
OK .. long story short .. they were their all day beating their head against the wall when the cleaning crew came in and the guy pluged the vacum cleaner into the wall. My hubby said when the guys saw this, it was a light bulb went off over everyone's head .. Yep .. the main power line was unpluged
