I don't get to listen to Rush's show much. Exactly which drug addicts has he "made fun of"?

My dearest friend is addicted to painkillers. It's a horrible existence, and as a Christian I refuse to judge my fellow man. This could happen to ANYONE.

I believe in personal responsibility, as does Rush. I have no doubt that he will be truthful and take whatever steps necessary to beat this problem if it indeed exists, AND accept whatever punishment he has coming. IF the allegations are true, he needs help and support, like any other addict. My thoughts and prayers are with Rush and his family at this difficult time.

As a diabetic I also remember Rush mentioning this, but was not quite sure. I still have a firm belief in Rush and what he says. I will support him through anything! He's a great man.

I'm sure during his ear transplant he was popping many pills, doctor prescribed. After the operation, he may also have had pain killers prescribed by his doctor. Remember, they drilled into his head and the pain afterward had to have been severe. I once had an ear infection and I'm here to tell you the pain was really bad. The doctor prescribed a pain killer. When I had the prescription filled I got three pills and for the first time in a long time, I was able to sleep. Rush will be back on the radio tomorrow and I'm sure he'll explain this. O'Reilly on Fox is currently saying the same thing. To me this is a left-wing conspiracy trying to do damage to a very great many - Rush Limbaugh. I'm not buying it.

That alone causes me to be suspicious.

Folks, I really like Rush, honestly.

...and I don't want to "rush" to judgement, either.

But...things don't look too good. In my opinion, I feel it will turn out that the maid is telling the truth, and that Rush is a human being who succumbed to weakness. It actually sounds like the way he treated her was worse than the addiction.

Honestly, I don't think its a big deal. It is embarrassing, to be sure, but thats about it.

But don't post stupid, stupid arguments that make no sense. No one has accused Rush of taking 100 pills a day. It is just not true. BUYING a number of pills which equals 100 a day is not the same as TAKING them.

And you don't need to slander the maid either. If things turn out the way she said, she was a VICTIM, and Rush will DESERVE the embarassment.

But his real fans will stick with him (and that will be the VAST majority) and life will go on.
