WASHINGTON -- Former Ambassador Joseph Wilson's voice-mail box is full. His receptionist is frazzled. He finishes a radio talk show in his Pennsylvania Avenue consulting office -- "four million listeners," he says -- and then is ready for yet another interview.

...Robert Novak countered with a piece contending the trip to Niger was arranged at the behest of Mr. Wilson's wife, a CIA analyst.

So what is it? Was she a covert operator or an analyst?

I believe that this brouhaha could be the best thing that has happened to the CIA in years. It needs a thorough housecleaning, beginning with Tenet. If the Democrats accomplish this, and Bush takes advantage of a wonderful opportunity, the USA will benefit.

Wilson is probably the leaker of this whole mess. He probably violated about a dozen secrecy agreements if he was sent by the CIA with the words from his pie hole.

This whole thing has all the earmarks of a Dem attack on Bush, attempting to discredit him and his administration and find an issue that resonates with the voters.

I think that, once the official inquiry begins, as the Dem involvement starts to become exposed, this issue will rapidly go away. One thing that the Dems excel at is blitzkrieg-style attacks. They know their attack is crapola, but the kool-aid drinkers buy into it immediately.

Tha's why this one has been pursued by the Dem "junk-yard dogs", Schumer and Daschle.

Mr. Wilson won't formally acknowledge that his wife is a CIA employee, but says that the publicity has caused him and his wife concern. "If this were true, it would risk endangering relationships, operations, networks that impact on our most sensitive national-security concerns," he says.

All of this wink and a nod weasel wording is nothing more than self-aggrandizement. I think we will find that his wife is merely an analyst of no special importance and that all of this talking around her employment is just a way of giving her an aura of importance that she just doesn't have, but would like the world to think she does.

Wilson's Liberal wife who JUST happens to works for the CIA suggest that Wilson a KNOWN Bush hater, who has NO investigative skills (he's a diplomat, not an investigator) be given the job (NEPOTISIM) to investigate the delicate matter of yellow cake and Saddam's involvement of procurring it.

Wilson who OPPOSES the Iraq war..Wilson who hates Bush..Wilson who is a Clintoon/algore appointee...and low and behold a negative report comes out of him..and then his wife's job at the CIA just gets mentioned.

What a perfect set up to scream LEAK and COVER UP by the DNC.........Just what we are seeing unfold.

He initially suggested that White House political adviser Karl Rove was responsible for, or at least condoned, the leak and wondered publicly in August about the prospect of Mr. Rove being "frog-marched out of the White House in handcuffs." Now, he acknowledges that he can't link Mr. Rove directly to the initial disclosure. "I will freely admit I got carried away," Mr. Wilson says. "If I left the impression that Karl Rove was the leaker or approver of the leak, I didn't intend to."

In true Clintoonian false,doublespeak,lying gack and mindless worddrool: "I didn't intend to". Someone needs to give this slanderous bigmouth a nice strong uppercut to the jaw. I can only imagine how Karl Rove will settle this score, without ever allowing anyone else to know. The best scores oftentimes take a long time to settle.
