Lately there have been trolls signing up here to badmouth Vernon. NCRUMORS isn't the first anti-Vernon troll, and he/she won't be the last.

Do you know what is going on here? Probably friends, volunteers, or campaign workers causing trouble. I've seen it happen several times either in defense of in opposition to a candidate in letters to the editor, and this is no different than massive letters to the editor.

Try not to waste too much of your dukes on the small stuff. After witnessing what's on DU, there will be plenty of combat to come.
Ya done good!

Actually, he certainly tries to sound like a conservative, and he probably is a conservative.
But if a person of another color (any, just pick one) said some of the things that he says, they would be accused of being a racist. That is a double standard.
He is trying to be the shock candidate in this race, to energize a base within the district, and even more important, to raise money on the internet from people who want to find the "next Jesse Helms."
If you've ever had the chance to spend any time speaking with him, you would form your own opinion of whether he is a fit candidate to serve as the congressman from the 5th district of NC. Better yet, let the people of the 5th district speak on election day, and decide who is best to represent their district.
My suggestion was to not drink the kool-aid, it was advice to most of the readers here who do not live in NC, not to jump on a Vernon bandwagon.
Prediction: Virginia Foxx will make the runoff(top 3). Vernon may, not sure. Tabor's presence will drain some of Vernon's potential supporters. Should be fun to watch.

Unfortunately, only blacks are able to say certain things about other blacks. (Likewise, only redheads should be allowed to say certain things about other redheads. LOL.)
Thank God that Vernon Robinson is not afraid to "lay it on the line".
He is a "shock" candidate. He makes people think.

So your problem is that Vernon can say truths that others can't or won't? How is that bad? It's the PC liberals whom you are empowering.
Vernon Robinson is the next Vernon Robinson.
I have spoken to Vernon on the phone several times. I am comfortable that he will vote the way we want him to and that he is serious about being a successful candidate.
Don't drink that Ronald Reagan kool-aid, don't jump on that Ronald Reagan bandwagon. Sometimes candidates are good candidates and it has nothing to do with kool-aid and bandwagons.

Yeah, baby! Why can't I find any candidates like this? I liked this:
>>In 2002, I ran 15 points ahead of our popular new Senator (Elizabeth Dole) in the precincts our races had in common. No other Republican can say that.
No wonder he ran so far ahead of her - she looks like a RINO to many. By contrast, this guy has a strong, coherent, conservative message.

Wow. There goes your credibility. Virginia won't even show. Her support base is among leftist females and homosexuals, not generally a group that is registered as Republican. Tabor is a nobody who probably won't even top Ed Powell. The race is between Ed Broyhill, who is trying to buy the seat, and Vernon. Count on it.
Vernon has been a burr (no pun intended) in the saddle of the NC, 5th District, and Forsyth County GOP organizations for years. I've known Vernon for close to ten years and he is the real deal. Trouble is, the forces of the NCGOP status quo are mustering against him and lining up behind Broyhill.
It will be a real battle. What will really make it interesting is that the White House wants Vernon in that seat. The vigor with which they pursue that goal will eventually surprise even those who post regularly to this forum.

From reading about all the candidates and looking and listening to their message. It is very clear -- the runoff will be between Vernon Robinson and Nathan Tabor.
They both have the same message. They both are going after the likely primary voters.
So, does the experience win or does the inexperience win. Both have their pros and cons.
