I'm following this election from afar. I must be missing some dynamic in this race, as I can't see, despite my wishes, any way for a true conservative like McClintock to win this election. From my observations, a two-way race between a conservative and a socialist, in California, always results in a socialist victory.
How can McClintock win this?
Could some CA FReepers help me to see the light?
No one answered. Can any of youse help?
Tony
Your "always" premise is faulty. Ronald Reagan and George Deukmejian were strong conservatives, who won statewide against liberal opponents.
How can McClintock win this?
By the recall passing and the getting more votes than any other candidate on the replacement ballot. Not a big mystery there.
