This was a sad but interesting story. I confess my first reaction to the whole subject was the same as yours. Men who wear bowties all the time are not likely to get any female attention -- except maybe someone in white tie and tails like Fred Astaire. LOL.

It is a sad story for all concerned. Manic depression is a horrible disease.

Fred Astaire did wear the white bow tie handsomely. Most men should not be allowed near them. However, I know an attorney in Washington, D.C who looks absolutely fabulous in a bow tie. I don't know what it is...the ties he selects, or his looks...but he is the rare one who should wear nothing but a bow tie with his suit.
