One of his friends said it was an "act of sacrifice" to show his disgust at the WTO and its policies. Quick thinking from the spin department. They can't be too upset.

Let's see. The medical people get paid to come help him and cart him off. To some funeral parlor who gets paid to put him on ice then box him up. Since the guy was South Korean it's likely some airline will get some major bucks to ship the corpse back home. There, someone has to be paid to pick him up then cremate or plant him. Maybe make a headstone or whatnot too. And all along the way media types get to make a buck writing about this moron. Pretty soon, if they guy was married some other dude will likely be spending his life insurance money on stuff nobody was going to buy right now. And on top of that likely boning the now dead guys old lady.
Overall, I'd say this "anti-capitalism South Korean activist" just made a lot of people some extra money. Maybe we should get together and buy the rest of his gang their own knives? It appears to be good for business.

Reporters saw the man climb up onto a high security fence and wave a banner that read "WTO Kills Farmers." He then stabbed himself in the chest. At least he was willing to die rather then kill for his beliefs.
Makes a refreshing change from his fellow travelers.
