That's what got my attention. He's writing about it....the Times is printing it....and it's in Terri's favor!

It was a good column and his repetition of Anderson's 'smothering with a pillow' proves he took both sides into account.

This was an unusual source of support for Terri.

I don't know if Bay News 9 is going to cover the 3:00 hearing or not but it's supposed to be about "giving Terri time to learn how to eat". I'm guessing if they are denied, Terri's counsel has a plan B for beautiful.

Just be reassured that Florida's AG is monitoring this case. When Judge Greer contacted acting Deputy AG Carassas, that was the last straw. Carassas under his oath as an attorney and as a Deputy AG, had a duty to report that Greer contacted him to "complain about Governor Bush interfering". (all on the record)

ANYBODY who contacts Christopher Reeves' Foundation should stress THAT WE NEED NATIONAL PUBLICITY. Reeves would have no other way his foundation could affect the outcome of Terri's fight imo unless they could do an "amicus filing" -A non-party filing.

When Judge Greer contacted acting Deputy AG Carassas

I cannot fathom why Greer would have contacted Carassas. Greer wants this woman starved to death as quickly and quietly as possible. Contacting Carassas would make it more likely that the starvation/dehydration will be anything but a quiet death.

I just read on a post that Terri was starved for 60 hours several years ago. I cannot imagine the turmoil the Schindlers have been facing. I assume that they were not allowed to try to spoon-feed her during those horrible 60 hours.

I think your count is inflated, nonetheless, I'm glad you noticed this factor as well.

Optimistically, all of FR is lurking through the Terri threads, which lends to the argument that the posts should be on point and void of vanity. Although it could be said the vanity posts serve to bump the thread. It's easy to be a responsible FReeper, and just as easy to display one's immaturity, or need for attention.

Unfortunately, there's been no response of any kind to my purposely inferring Florida FReepers are complacent on the issue of the legal system running amuck in their state. See post 3764.

Well, yea, Robert, I have not gone through a few hundred posts to see how many are original names. It is probably less than 35, as you mentioned.

I also suspect that most who have read many of the posts and see this person as "brain dead" and therefore a non-issue to most of them.

One surprise to me: the Schwarzenegger website is now providing a link to "Terri's Fight."

In doing some research yesterday, I saw several photos of Michael Schiavo ... it's just difficult for me to imagine that he is the compassionate, caring person one usually associates with those in the nursing profession.

Heavenly Father, we continue to come before You on behalf of Terri ... again we are at the brink of another decision, and again we are fearful for her life. There seems to be so many forces that are allied against her, but none of the forces of evil can harm her, save by Your will, for Your Word teaches that "In his hand is the life of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind...Job 12:10"

We plead for her, Father, this young woman who is so loved by her family ... I pray You would honor their commitment and devotion. They ask that she be returned to their care, that she be given time and opportunity for rehabilitation, that she would be free from this constant threat of death. Father, pour forth words of wisdom from those defending her, open up the hearts and ears of those who render judgment, fall mightily upon the courtroom by the Power of the Holy Spirit, that this beloved woman might live.

Strengthen us as we go through the day ... write Terri's name on our hearts that we would speak her name continually to You on her behalf ... You are the Giver of life, and we thank You for Terri ... You are the Sustainer of life, and we thank You that You have done so for Terri ... I tried to find out "Judge" Greer's party affiliation. One must literally go to Clearwater and examine the registration books personally. Here is the reply that I received:

Thank you for your e-mail requesting the party affiliation of a Pinellas County Judge. According to Florida Statute 98.095 (1)(a)1, we are not permitted to give out information from a registered voter’s record, however, any citizen of the state is allowed to examine the registration books while they are in the custody of the supervisor of that county. They are not allowed to make copies or extracts.

You are welcome to view the voter registration records at any of our offices. Our office locations are: 315 Court St., Room 117, Clearwater, 14255 49th St. N., Suite 202, Clearwater, and 501 1St Ave N (5th St. N entrance), St. Petersburg. Our office hours are 7:45 a.m. – 5:15 p.m.
