Goodbye, Gray. Hello, Cruz. Thanks for splitting the vote, McC. Without Arnold in the race, the Democrats win handily. McC has no centrist support. California now has 47% registered Democrats as opposed to 37% registered Republicans. McC, I like your stuff, but you can't win.

McClintock: 'In the race to the finish line'
This third-place spoiler needs to take a bow and back away, unless he wants to see Bustamonte elected. At least the Democrats have the common sense to field one (major) candidate.

I know there is a debate the 17th, couple of days after that he has to know he can't win and McC has to have the class to leave and run another day.
If he doesn't go by the 19th, he will become McSpoiler forever!

From the interview, Judy appears desperate to get Tom to dropout. Guess she's doing a favor for her old buddy Maria.

He will be in right in there until he terminates the very last chance of the California Republican Party's survival.
I wonder how much Tommy is getting paid by Cal Rats to spoil this race?

I'm glad to see McClintock quoting polls as a reason to be in the race. Gives one hope he will continue looking at them and draw the appropriate conclusion at the appropriate time to stop making feeble jokes about getting endorsements from those running ahead of him and instead get out of the race - after, of course, he has made his precious "look at me, I'm principled unlike all you other scalawags" message that California Republicans make every election cycle without affecting things one iota.

I thought McClintock did a good job in this interview. It leads me to believe that he will do a good job at the upcoming forums/debates on Sept. 3 and 17. I hope Schwarzenegger changes his mind and decides to attend the Sept. 3 forum with the rest of the candidates.

10 reasons not to vote for Arnold.
He is an opportunist.
He entered the race late.
He gets flustered easily on simple questions that he should have been prepared for.
He does not want to debate.
He does not want to sign a no-tax pledge.
He has out-of-state liberal advisors.
He is not a California native.
There is a better qualified alternative (McClintock).
RINOs tend to do the opposite of what they pledge to do in their election campaign.
If the Demos have a dirt bomb on him, they can drop it any time to defuse him, or use it as blackmail.
Here's a bonus reason:
I really don't need anyone to tell me how to vote anyway. I'll vote for the best candidate and if other's don't, that's their problem, not mine.

"Meanwhile, Arnold Schwarzenegger, with unprecedented media coverage, has been absolutely dead in the water." A typical exchange with an Arnold supporter:
We have to vote for Arnold. Only he can win! Look at the polls!!
But his support is dropping, while Tom's numbers are rising in the polls.
The polls are faked!!!

I think its a shame that so many conservatives that should know better are supporting a flaming left lib RINO like Arnold, a demoRat in republican clothing!
There is a REAL republican running with REAL plans to fix the mess the Rat party has made in California but the news media has suckered you into believing that lib Arnie is your only choice. Its sad...

McClintock: 'In the race to the finish line'
"I'm in the race to the finish line no matter what it costs the party because trying to get what I want no matter what--as Davis showed us--is the most important thing in the world."

WOODRUFF: Well, does that mean under no circumstances you're going to pull out?
MCCLINTOCK: That's precisely what it means, Judy. I don't know how else I can put it. What a piece of excrement. "Under no circumstances" includes if it becomes abvious the GOP will lose. Who still supports this jerk?
