In an ironic twist, Gray Davis entered the "Mr Puniverse" bodybuilding Contest.

How about endorsing a real conservative instead of a RINO?
If you're unfamiliar with his stand on the issues, there's plenty of reading material here:
http://republican.sen.ca.gov/web/mcclintock/issues.asp
We spent this much time, effort and money on getting Davis recalled. Let's not replace him with "Davis Lite" who supports such causes as affirmative action, gun control and other Liberal platforms.

The critics can say what they want to about Arnold, but it's refreshing to hear somebody talking about the issues and an enthusiam about the task ahead.
I look forward to the candidate that will take on Reid in Nevada, I hope he comes with that type of enthusian and hope for Nevada.

Schwarzenegger's instincts are good as far as realizing what the Dems have done to the state stinks. He fires off some pretty good sound-bytes.
It will be interesting to watch him weave his course over the next 61 days.

Wish mcClintock had a chance. I heard him on Larry Elder and he was quite good. Unfortunately I really don't think he can win. I'm tired of losing and I've voted for the conservative in every election for the past 7 years. I'm going for Arnold because I understand he has a business degree and he's managed his own money fairly well.

Where can you get one of those "Vote for me if you want to live" bumper stickers? I'll buy a dozen.

Vote for me or I will terminate you...yadda, yadda, yadda
When I saw 'Pumping Iron', his father died while he was touring for the Mr. Universe (Olympia?) title and when they told him about it he said he couldn't come to the funeral because the title was too important to him!
Now that's some son!
Arnold's father was a nazi who fought in Russia. I believe what Mike Savage said about children of ill repute parents who usually try to compensate for that by being ultra, bleeding heart liberals.
He also advocates more gun control.
Kennedys!
I wouldn't trust Arnold as far as I could throw him.

Former Californian here - I wish I could move back to vote for Arnold. I'm hearing a lot of carping from conservatives that we don't really know anything about Arnold's politics, that he is married to a Kennedy, that he's a RINO, etc.
But the fact remains that Arnold Schwarzenegger represents our best chance of getting a Republican into the governorship. Simon already ran and lost once - against a very weak opponent. He had his chance. McClintock - I know nothing about him and suspect neither do a lot of Californians. Issa has withdrawn.
That leaves Arnold to unite behind - think about Huffington getting elected, or Bustamante (sp), or worst of all, Davis retaining the office. Arnold looks very good compaired to those alternatives.
Good luck with the site. Although I can't help technically and am on the East Coast, let me know if there is anytnig else I (we) can do.

Yes, please put me on your ping list...Arnold's back and so is California's golden future.

Here's the situation.
1. There's a short campaign season. That means the best organized campaign will LIKELY win.
2. That also means that ANYONE can win. 25% could be enough here. We had a 6-way primary for a state rep race. The winner was an UNKNOWN to the media. He won by 2 votes.
3. I don't consider Ahnold a RINO by California standards. He's a Nixon/Pete Wilson Republican. Riordan was a RINO. Bloomberg is a RINO. Ahnold is anti-Communist, and that's why he was a Republican. He isn't the best one running though.
4. That said, this is McClintock's shot. He could win this with 25%. If McClintock gets the GOP core base out, it may be enough to win.
5. As for Bill Simon, he had his chance and lost.
