Leviticus 20: --

If a man lies with a male as one lies with a woman, the two of them have done an abhorrent thing; they shall be put to death--their bloodguilt is upon them.

Where exactly is there a refrence about women with women. I'm in a debate with my Flaming/Liberal/Lesbian Mother in law who thinks that it's not a sin and i need to show her where in the bible it says anything about Lesbianism.

Sorry, and this is probably going to get a lot of flames:

Leviticus is Old Testament. Salvation through Christ is the New Testament. The point to Christ's Salvation is that no person on Earth is worthy of it on their own merits.

Anyone with sin on their soul, from the small white lie to the slaughter of innocents is not fit for Heaven.

Christ paid the full price of sin, all sin, every sin.

So . . .

Being gay, while sinful, is just as sinful as say cheating on your taxes, lying, stealing pens at work, etc.

Christ died for gay people too. I'm not gay, but those I know that are certainly didn't aspire to be gay.

When I was saved, I knew that I would struggle with sin for the rest of my life, and I still do.

With that, I believe that there has to be a place for gay people in God's house. I don't believe that any church has to endorse homosexuality as a lifestyle choice, and in my interpretation of scripture they shouldn't.

I think that's the difference here. I don't feel good about lying when I do it, and I don't think the Church should endorse that lifestyle either. The point is to accept the salvation of Christ and resolve to fight sin for the rest of your life.

To that end and that end alone I believe that there has to be a place for gay clergy. I'm gay, I'm saved, and I'm in therapy. This I believe is consistent.

My beef with Robinson is that I'm not hearing that from him.
