On Hannity's radio show yesterday there was a "Larry from Los Angeles" who was put on the air. Hannity admitted this was a false name and false location to protect his identity. The man called attention to a motion that's been filed in a Colorado court to unseal formerly public records. He claimed the records were public until the Kobe Bryant accusation hit. He claims to have heard directly from a close high school friend of the alleged rape victim that the alleged rape victim has made two prior rape allegations and the public records of these are what's being sealed.
Did anyone else hear this gent and has anyone heard any more about this particular story? This gent was very slow, careful and circumspect with his answers to Sean and sounded quite believable. Apparently some weekly paper in the Eagle, CO area has picked up on the story and this gent called Sean's attention to it to back up his claim about the formerly public records. Bottom line was that he suggested that while this alleged rape victim has friends that have backed up her character, there's another group of folks who knew her well that would not vouch for her character.
Hannity said he was going to look into the story. Has anyone heard any more about this?
By the way, before anyone flames me, beyond the admitted adultery, I'm neutral on this one until I hear the evidence.

Larry from Los Angeles, eh? I wonder how he knew all this stuff. He wouldn't, by any chance, be connected to Bryant's defense?

I don't understand. Is it legal to rape a woman who has a reputation for being a "nut"?

The problem I see with all this idle speculation is that people begin to get way too much emotional capital invested in this story, and when the truth comes out, they find it hard to accept it.
The best example of this is still the Rosenbergs, there are people who have so much emotional attachment to the case that they refuse to believe all the evidence against them. Another one would be the Danielle van Dam/David Westerfield case.
