Meanwhile, the employees at the Inn, the hospital staff, friends, etc., are on record as having backed up the fact that 1. she was personally summoned for a room service call; 2. that, afterwards, she was hysterical and dishevelved in appearence; 3.that, after first proclaiming (words to the effect) "all will see nothing happened when all is settled," Kobe admits adultry (shades of "I did not have sex with that woman"). 4. that, any competent DA doesn't charge unless there is undisputable pysical evidence to back up an arrest...

If I was Mr. Bryant, regardless of guilt or innocence, I would be more inclined to hire a Roy Black rather than a Johnny Cochrane given the likely composition of the jury in this venue.

She refused to describe the injuries or say where on the woman's body they were. But she did say they were severe enough to be seen plainly despite the woman's attempts to hide them with makeup.

The Daily News has learned that Bryant's bodyguards - who accompanied him to Vail for his knee surgery - did not stay on the same floor as the NBA star, which would be a typical security procedure. "The bodyguards stayed on a separate floor," said Pete Webb, a Denver public relations consultant hired by the spa.

And the reports are that the room next to Bryant's was empty. I wonder why the bodyguards weren't put in that room.

Makeup may suggest a facial wound, but I've known women who've used body makeup to cover discolorations on arms, legs, or back.

I'll take it. One large.

Polygraphs are not admissible in court. So, they're nothing really but PR devices. Besides, if she took one and passed, why aren't the results blared all over the world? Surely her attorney sees the beating she's taking in the press, and releasing the results would put a stop to a lot of this stuff.

She has a private attorney. Take another one. He's not bound by any confidentiality. Let the world know she passed it.

Prosecution could have asked her to keep it secret, as its revelation at trial would then have more force.
