. . . who employed lies to lead us into war. Dear Mr. Scheer:
Both houses of Congress voted overwhelmingly in support of a resolution to authorize the President to use force if necessary in dealing with Iraq. This resolution was passed months before the President's State of the Union address that has become the topic of so much recent discussion.
The President cannot possibly be impeached for "employing lies to lead us into war," since there won't be anyone left in Congress to impeach him -- they themselves will all have to resign in disgrace for voting to authorize the use of force without any evidence (true or false) to support their actions.
Sincerely,
Alberta's Child
P.S. And go f#ck yourself, too.

Is the author a jerk or just stupid ?
Talk about use of logical fallacies.

this is what Scheer has to say about himself:
"Over the years, Scheer has been honored for his work, including his coverage of the underprivileged and the welfare system. Recently, he was the 1998 honoree of the Shelter Partnership, an organization of Los Angeles downtown businesses, and the USC School of Social Work's Los Amigos award recipient. He has also received awards and citations from Stanford University, the Moscow Academy of Sciences, UC San Diego and Yale University.
Scheer was raised in the Bronx where he attended public schools and graduated from City College of New York. He studied as a Maxwell Fellow at Syracuse University and was a fellow at the Center for Chinese Studies at UC Berkeley, where he did graduate work in economics. Scheer has also been a Poynter fellow at Yale, and was a fellow in arms control at Stanford."
Not everyday you see someone who was honored by the Moscow academy, even rarer, someone who would choose to brag about it. It does look like the only real degree he has is from CCNY. Although studying economics at Berkeley says something about him.

This would seem like a perfect way to impeach president Bush IF
1. This claim was THE only supporting evidence for going to war.
2. There weren't so many mass graves turning up in Iraq.
3. Weapons inspectors hadn't been kicked out repeatidly
4. Saddam hadn't used WMD to kill his own people.
5. Klinton hadn't already bombed him using similar intelligence.
6. So many Dems didn't also vote to go to war if he refused to co-operate
7. People really believed that Bush would deliberately lie to us. (as one former president had)
With the available evidence I'd say that the Democratic Party will reveal themselves as hypocritical if they went forward with impeachment hearings after choosing to ignore Klinton's lies under oath.

Do not go to votetoimpeach.org unless of course you want to be totally informed of all the lies being spread about our dear Dubya.

Whenever you liberals have anything to say about President Bush and the war, you should be reminded that our country was attacked and we will win at any price and not a peace at any price but in victory. If this country has to install a pro-western government in Iraq so be it
If it takes in bringing back the House Committee on un-American Activities or Joe Mc Carthy so be it
As long as this country is under attack from the far left Thats war baby!

Sheer's misuse of the term "charge of impeachment" reveals both his ignorance of the meaning of the word "impeach", and the intention of the Constitution, in addition to being incorrect on most points of fact. Such is the product of today's schools of journalism.

When
exactly did this become an issue? It started as a little shadow on the wall and now it's a gigantic monster with teeth dripping blood.
I was thinking it was the Gillinger-BBC "sexed up" report that fed some Dim's dastardly idea, to be used against President Bush's during his visit to Africa. Our Senators and Congressmen and women saw the data on Iraq and a majority voted in support of the war. They didn't object in January when he actually gave the speech. Why now?
You're right. This train needs to be derailed. The Democrats have begun to seem Al-Qaeda like in their "campaign" methods. Do a lot of sneaky underground work and then, using the media to ignite the fuse they prepared, they EXPLODE the so-called story right in the faces of the American people. Continuing with this Al-Qadea modus operandi, they have managed to network with the British media. The French, Germans and Russians cheer them on from the sidelines. A tape is made, not by Usama bin Laden or Saddam Hussein, but Terry MacAuliffe or James Carville.
(Notes to self: Okay. I like it, even if you didn't complete the analogy. Go with it. So what if you've let your imagination run wild.) DEMOCRATS ARE USING TERRORIST TACTICS! There's a red carpet just waiting for Hillary (and her co-dictator, Bill). It's a coup for two!

Scheer needs to be outed as a child molestor. There ought to be a very serious consequence for irresponsible journalism. If they choose to debate their involvement in assault of children, let's have that debate.
