Why is it that whenever someone doesn't get 101% of what they want, they immediately cry that their political leaders have lost sight of conservatism and now it is all about keeping power?

BS if there is a single definition of conservatism, there is no 100 point list where one must be in agreement with all 100 points. No, there are different definitions of conservatism, but they all overlap in enough areas to have mutual principles and goals on most, but not all issues. There is not a single perfect knot, but rather many different kinds of knots, but they all share the same components functions, and similarities in method of production.

90% of the whiners on these threads would be aghast to realize how different their interpretations of conservatism are, but they temprorarily ignore that to focus on their shared trait of dissatisfaction in order to tear apart that boat with the oh so glaring imperfection. Ignore the storm, ignore that it floats, ignore that it is performing most of its intended functions, yes that imperfection cannot be allowed to stand for another second and must be removed. And then we all drown in the sea of liberalism.

Geniuses.

Amen to that.
These malcontents need to check out the ACU ratings for every congressman. Between the parties, there is a wide, wide gap. That handful of Republicans who fall in the middle need to be wiped out in their next primary or the one after that or the one after that.
Baby steps, but steps in the right direction.
