"Holding their feet to the fire" is a lie when you use it to tear down, not build up. You and several others on here use it, and hide behind that phrase. Why?

Not at all I just like to see a good writer such as Kyle get his work out into the light as for age let them be 10 or 100 who cares? I have my own political views on all matters, rest assured of that. The only thing the conservative writers or radio show hosts do, is confirm I am right. As for the election in 2004 it will be a landslide so wide you won't believe it my friend.

Todd. Some really bad news.

President George W. Bush today announced that he was dropping out of the race for re-election due to the fact that he doesn't have your full endorsement.

Dateline: Washington D.C 6-15-03.
"Todd (TLBSHOW) said on the stickest web site on the internet, Free Republic, that I am a socialist like Blair and a traitor as well. I heard that he might have called me a ratty rat too, but that is unconfirmed at this point. Todd's gift is seeing the truth. I must confess. It is all true. There is no point in going on anymore. I plan to turn over the administration to Dick Cheney's capable hands, and study at the feet of Ann Coulter until I get back into Todd's good graces, at which point I may resume my candidacy for the next election".

Oh Todd. Now you have done it!

I am a big fan of Reagan voted him in twice.

and Ronald Reagan said

( Government is not the solution to our problems, govenment is the problem )

Really? The article last night where you were bashing Republicans said this:

In the 1980s, Ronald Reagan supported a big increase in the EITC [earned income tax credit] rate from 10 percent to 14 percent.

Does that mean that Ronald Reagan was a big-government ratty-rat socialist?

Conservatism is a movement and like wine and can fill any bottle.

The Republican party is a bottle, what wine it is filled with depends on us.

Even the Gipper disappointed me on the EITC. But I guess he bought his party lots of votes from the non-taxpayers.

If you read the article linked above, the reasoning behind the tax credit makes a little more sense - although reforming or eliminating Medicare and Medicaid might make more sense (I don't think it's going to happen, though, too many people who depend on them now - including both our Grannies, I'd bet).

Lots of votes - that's what wins elections, huh?

That means he wont be a libertarian, they do not believe in moral beliefs.

Good God almighty, when will you people STOP LYING ABOUT US?

I am as anti-abortion as anyone here on FR, and (judging from my experiences on abortion threads) more so than some.

I am a Christian, and I try to live in such a way as to demonstrate that.

I believe in the sanctity of life, and in treating otherse as I'd like to be treated, and respecting that which deserves respect.

Take it back, Mr. Man.

For the record, I also believe quite strongly in proper punctuation and grammar, but then that's not (strictly speaking) moral.

my comments on the immorality of the libertarian are based on the support for homosexuality, prostitution and drug useage.

All morality based questions

otherwise, Libertarians are nothing more than classical republicans, or at least what we used to think republicans during the time of Reagan.

I disagree with your post.

Sheesh another Leroy clone.

What are you jabbering about, Dane? When have I ever responded to a post with nothing more than, "I disagree with your post"?

By golly the truth.......What has been said all along we/us must fill it and take care of it and like a bottle sometimes you dunp it all out and fill it again if needed.

Which is why we must demand that those elected do the things that they are to do going by the constitution. If they do not or they start to go towards a foreign concept that goes against what America stands for it is our duty to bring them to the carpet for it. To do nothing is far worst. To leave principal on the battlefield will bring certain defeat.
