Here in L.A. and now that I know the unfortunate outcome I can skip the show and go straight to..... The Bachelor, After the Finale!!!!! My thoughts exactly. Watching Kirsten try to redeem herself before a national TV audience should be a lot more fun, anyway...ha ha!

SHOOT! In CST, was going to flip back and forth. Let me know what happens - just saw the last couple shows, but would be curious if the Firestone guy really plans to marry Jen.

When one person can vote as many times as they can get through for weeks and weeks in a row, it does matter by how much. A thousand votes out of 24 millon votes is nothing under those circumstances Common sense tells me that 1000 votes does NOT prove Ruben is the better singer. It's a tie.

Yes, had there not been cameras in the room, she might have stabbed Andrew! Kirsten has the Cruella de Vil role locked up if she decides to go to Hollywood. Jen is really great though - Andrew is a very lucky man. From what the people on the ABC message boards are saying, the show is going to be very entertaining!

Haven't read the thread yet. I was disappointed severely that Clay did not win, but I think Ruben will make a good AI. Both will be great recording artists, although to somewhat different audiences. This may work out for the best for Clay, as he will be able to pursue his music without FOX pulling on him so much.

I am not among those who think the voting was rigged by FOX. It may have been screwed up, but that's a different story. In any event, it was a statistical tie and the world got introduced to two great singers.

OK, I waited until I read this thread.

A BIG congratulations to my man, Ruben Studdard! The big guy made us Alabamians all proud!

Also, congratulations to Clay Aiken. A class guy who is also a winner in my book.

Now on another note. I'm VERY disappointed to see the bigoted comments about Ruben here on FR. Clay fans can be upset and letdown because he "lost" by a little over 1000 votes.

Neither one of these men are losers. They both are upstanding Americans that we ALL should be proud of. Both men love the Lord, both are involved in their communities, and both are shining examples for our youth to idolize. Both men have wonderful families and it is ecident that they have been raised right.

Freepers should be above posting bigoted and hateful comments about ANY of the contestants. Leave that to the losers on DU.

Our son is fortunate - it goes well as Clayton, or if he shortens it to Clay later on. It's not a name you hear in Pennsylvania, but my husband's family has deep roots in NC and TN, and I have fond memories of my time in VA. It all fits.
