The grammar and spelling at that message board was poor.
I wonder if commercial beaches = ports?

It's Fleet Week starting today. Events planned for all over the country. Did a google search. This is only one of the articles I found. Fleet Week, elevated alert, coincidence?
http://www.nynewsday.com/nyc-fleet0520,0,2462039.story?coll=nyc-topheadlines-right Included in the article:
Eighteen ships from five countries are expected in New York harbor on Wednesday for the city's 16th annual Fleet Week observance _ a lineup thinned out this year by war assignments, Navy officers said.
(snip, snip)
Sailors and Marines will march in uniform in 11 Memorial Day parades in all five boroughs.

Makes better sense, otherwise what 'is' a commercial beach?

Foreign entries are the Canadian frigate HMCS Charlottetown, the British Antarctic icebreaker HMS Endurance and two tall ships _ Mexico's 297-foot naval training ship Cuauhtomoc and India's 165-foot naval ship Tarangini, which is on a round-the-world cruise.
Now, do we worry about the cargo on any of these? Particularly the ones from Mexico and India?

Well, I can attest first hand that these same message boards talked for weeks about what appeared like planned attacks in Saudi Arabia. I was among the many reading them daily. Then, the attack came. Lately, the boards' postings about the U.S. have increased, so, it is only logical....

I thought I had good cause for alarm. Thanx for the validation ;)

Now, do we worry about the cargo on any of these?I'd say yes. The Mexican ship could be full of illegals trying to smuggle whoknowswhat into the country. Have no idea what India might try to smuggle in. Plus Canada might be trying to slip in a mad cow.
Looking for my tinfoil hat right now. Been a long time since I've used it. Think I need a loooong vacation :-)

My first thought when I read "commercial coasts" was ports, but maybe they were talking about busy & "famous" beaches...Coney Island, Daytona Beach? Or Atlantic City, Ocean City, Virginia Beach, Nags Head, Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head, and so on and so on and so on.
Also, two carrier groups are scheduled to return to Norfolk this week.
To: JustPiper
Makes better sense, otherwise what 'is' a commercial beach? I guess you've never been to the boadwalk at Ocean City or Virginia Beach. Talk about commercial....
To: iceskater
boadwalk = boardwalk. My typing skills are not up to par this morning.

Mostly that is because the "al qaeda hunters" use translation programs found on the web to translate the original Arabic postings into English. That is why the grammar and spelling are not perfect English. Also, the Middle Eastern posters use codes that do not translate into things we easily understand.

Thanks! If I see any radiation coming my way, I'll duck.

Well a Freeper here predicted this:
JEDDAH (Reuters) - Three Moroccans arrested in Saudi Arabia earlier this week in the Red Sea port city of Jeddah were trying to hijack a civilian airliner in the kingdom, a Saudi security source said Wednesday.
"They were planning a suicide hijack to attack Saudi landmarks," the source told Reuters, adding they were arrested at Jeddah airport Monday.
And Donna the board I was on specifically mentioned Jeddah as a place of attack! So your right about the boards being valid!

That is exactly what I ran into using the arabic to english translator and looking for other clues! You are mirroring my all night quest Donna ;)
