Tolerance ... it's the American way. There's a mosque up the street that used to have a large sign advertising its presense - the sign was removed about 6 months ago [I would like to think it had too many bullet holes in it, but the islamics were just being prudent]. A podiatrist in Tampa was arrested about a year ago for possessing weapons which he intended to use against the mosque in Tampa, but the tolerance police got to him and locked him up.

In Christianity, on the other hand, the whole point is the INDIVIDUAL'S response on his/her own to God. If it isn't a personal, internal assent to God, then it is illegitimate as a basis for faith. Chrisitianity does not accept the validity of coerced faith.

Because political activity is not a statutory crime. This is the great risk and great responsibility of living in a republic -- if we can keep it.

I wouldn't be surprised if it isin't close to happening in this country, which raises an interesting issue.

The ACLU has always been willing to take on the conservatives in this country over so called 1st amendment rights. It will surely get interesting when the Jewish influence in this country starts to confront the Muslims. Will the ACLU jump in? Will the Jews be content to let the U.S. Christian population confront radical Islam?
