Just loved the first picture. LOL. And then I started to sob again. I ran over my son's dog last evening. He wasn't as cute as Barney but He was certainly loved as much.
Daddy reminded me this evening...mama's been gone seven years and he's still grieving....that to grieve a member of the family, dog or person is part of their immortality.....So we're allowing our tears.

Oh, I am so sorry..
One night many years ago, I was pulling up my very long driveway..and ran over my own beloved Sheltie..
I am hearing impaired, and did not hear her yapping around my car, nor did I see her, as it was snowing heavily..
the car hit something, and I climbed out to watch her die..
I sold that car within the week, couldn't bear to look at it..
I do understand..that was many years ago..
Still can't look at a Sheltie without crying..
My full size Collie, "Trisha" has helped me heal..
