I had some trouble finding quotes for some nominees. If anyone has a better or more outrageous quote (and documentation), please post it.
Don't forget to vote for Janeane Garofalo -- we wouldn't want her to be left out of the Garofalo Awards! FReep On, Everyone!

Ok, after much soul searching, I have come up with my final 10.
1. Miss Garofalo, because the award is named in her honor.
2-6 are all politicians, and the disgusting, un-American comments were merely for political advantage. Leading the pack is the dishonorable...
Bill Clinton
Nancy Pelosi
Charles Rangel
Robt. K Byrd
John Conyers
7. Ramsey Clark, who really should be tried for treason.
8. Helen Thomas, just because she is still breathing.
9. Eason Jordon and CNN, who should be held accountable for the lives they cost.
10. The perky Katie Couric, because she is so damn perky while she is so wrong.

The Valentine brothers are back from lunch and are meeting in separate rooms. A mediator may be required.

2) Helen "The Hag" Thomas
3) Chris "The Idiot" Matthews
4) Peter "The Traitor" Arnett
5) Scott "The U.N. Pedophile" Ritter
6) Eason "The posterboy for journalist integrity" Jordan
7) Gary "Damn the Iraqis, I just hate Bush" Camilla
8) Newsweek " Completely lacking in" Conventional Wisdom
9) David "The ides of March" Hackworth
10) Bill Clinton absolutely belongs at the bottom of any list of traitorous scum...
There, I'm done. I feel like I need a shower now and a few quick blasts of Lysol across my keyboard.

"...what is the cost to the war on terrorism?" Is Pelosi serious? How embarrassing to be liberal. What an idiot.

Bumping for voting after a careful study of these mental giants.
Do we only vote for one?

To: Angelwood
Great idea and post- thanks for compiling all the quotes.
In this order:
1) Clinton (although his remarks were not the most offensive, his status as an ex-pres elevates them to the number one position!)
2) Arnett (a very close second)
3) Moore
4) Garafalo
5) Ritter
6) Robbins
7) Sarandon
8) Galbraith
9) Rangel
10) Matthews
To: Angelwood
1. Janeane Garofalo
2. Chris Matthews
3. Peter Arnett
4. John Conyers
5. David Hackworth
6. George Galloway
7. Scott Ritter
8. Helen Thomas

10. Katie Couric

It's hard to limit this to just 10, there are so many deserving candidates, but these are probably the most deserving:
Eason Jordan and CNN
George Galloway
Scott Ritter
Peter Arnett
Nancy Pelosi
Tom Daschle
Janeane Garofalo
Wesley Clark
Nicholas DeGenova
and last, but certainly not least,
Bill Clinton

*Clinton #1 - Because I can't stand his arrogant puss.
*Eason Jordan &/or CNN in general
*Nancy Pelosi
(NOT Chris Matthews because he "fessed up" already)
*Peter Arnett
*Gary Camilla
*Ramsey Clark
*Scott Ritter
*Helen Thomas/Helen Thomas/Helen Thomas!!!
*Michael Moore
*Eric Alterman
(I tried to pick the ones who'll actually attend. And I figure they may well invite Michael Moore to "entertain" them since they're mostly liberal.)
You suppose Helen Thomas will attend, or will she have to retire to her bat cave when the sun goes down? Hmmmmm

MIGHT BE NICE IF I POSTED THIS ON THE RIGHT THREAD...LOL!!
Here is what I wrote on the WRONG thread.. ughhh late and I'm going to bed.. before I hurt myself or something :o)

Ok.. but dang.. though I'd like to nominate him, I just can't bring myself to bring any more attention to that moron Michael Moore. He'd LOVE it. He is a nothing and nobody..who would LOVE to be given ANY award. Course the same could be said for Billy Clinton.. but here goes (and in no particular order):
Wesley Clark
Bill Clinton
Janeane Garafalo
Scott Ritter
David Hackworth
Eason Jordan
Susan Sarandon
Mike Farrell
Tim Robbins
Helen Thomas
To: Angelwood
Stahl: Yeah, but our, the rear is exposed. I nominate that for quote of the year.

Eason Jordan and CNN
George Galloway
Nicholas "Million Mogadishus" DeGenova
Janeane Garofalo
Susan Sarandon
Tim Robbins
Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders
Scott Ritter
Michael Moore
Wesley Clark
Great job compiling the list of potential "winners", Angelwood (and DC Chapter).
Sadly, we will not be able to join you - as we did last year - at the 5th Annual FReep at the White House Correspondents Dinner on 4/26. Last year's FReep was SO much fun... well worth the trip down from Connecticut! We'll just have to plan better for next year, I guess. Enjoy the FReep on Saturday!

Well the Valentine brothers caucused all afternoon and into the night. Many votes were taken but still no white smoke. Darryl said some very bad words to Jimmy's other brother Darryl.
Bad news tgsl, the goldfish has run away from home.
Jimmy said he was going to freepmail leadpenny to act as sargeant of arms and a separate appeal to Iowa Granny for adult supervison. We'll see if agreement is reached today.

So many deserving recipients, but we can only vote for ten (if I were a Demoncrat, I would vote for all of them and try to get the courts to allow it, but alas, I am a Conservative and honest):
1. David Hackworth - he, above all of them, should have known better. Plus, he needs to buy something other than black shirts.
2. Gary Camilla - by far the most disgusting comment, even if honest.
3. Peter Arnett - one word: traitorous.
4. Tim Robbins - all his whining about the "little people" excercising their rights gets him a trophy.
5. R.W. Apple - he was "Johnny" on the spot with drivel.
6. Eason Jordan and CNN - disgrace to the journalism profession (and that was before Jordan opened his mouth).
7. Michael Moore - this was tough, because Moore just might think he is really being honored.
8. Scott Ritter - see #3.
9. Nancy Pelosi - didn't object to toppling the statue, just thought we could do it cheaper. Should try that with welfare and government schools.
10. Janeane Garofalo - if we are going to name the awards after her, we need to see that she gets one of the first.

Isn't it amazing that this list is composed entirely of left wing, socialist democrats? Proves that this is/was all about politics. Pathetic creatures........
