To fail to lift the sanctions imposed on the Saddam's Iraq Adminstration now that the country has been liberated would be a travesty. But who cares if the UN fails to lift sanctions on Iraq. The highest quality photos, whether satellite or otherwise, are "still" photos, not "video tapes". There are certainly videos, but whether the quality would be sufficient to do as you suggest for a specific purpose would be highly classified.

But when the people themselves are corrupt, and ungodly, and wicked, they cannot hold their freedoms, and the result is, more often than not--a tyranny. Ironic.

One could make the case that the "corrupt, and ungodly, and wicked" do not deserve democracy/freedom...

It's definately a great day for the USA. God Bless Our Armed Forces and President Bush. I thank Heavenly Father for the safe return of our POWs and pray that we find the missing.

o/t...Since the statue fell in Fedori Square, I've been hearing alot about the World Bank and sanctions and international law concerning this. I also heard Dr. Bob mention that some sort of aid could not be brought in because of the sancions. Could someone, (smarter than me), give me the cliff note version of the WB and sanctions and the law involving this.

Another thing I've heard mentioned on these threads was that the money for the food for oil program for Iraq is held in a French bank? Something like 40 million? Is that true? Or did I misunderstand? I'm just trying to figure out how France, Germany, and Russia are going to try and worm their way into the post-war plans.

Question. Has any other the people, whether Government or otherwise that are so against this war been asked directly what they thought should have been done in regards to the torture, imprisonment, rape and murder that was going on in Iraq on a daily basis? I am curious, but also really frustrated by this aspect of it. I get a sense that these people don't care at all about any of this. Have any of them even said anything about it?
