I interpert that to mean our job is to keep it from getting there in the first place, and am doing what I can from here to effect that. He used that gutless line with CFR, didn't he? Is there any awful domestic legislation that he will grow a spine to veto?

Exactly! If the legislation does not pass either the Senate or the House, it sunsets. And it is up to us to work over our respective Representative and both Senators to ensure this legislation does not pass either the House or the Senate!
We need to find out just how much clout we have, and this issue is a good place to start.
