But Chicago is one of the worst movies I've ever seen; I almost walked out.

I DID walk out of it. Must have been in a bad mood.

Renee, Catherine Z-J, Queen Latifah, Richard Gere, and John C. Reilly are fabulously talented. However, Chicago is dark, literally and figuratively, macabre, and at times downright gruesome.

I went to see it because the previews showed Renee and Catherine looking pretty, in shiny outfits and those pretty white robes etc. I thought it might be bright, beautiful, and jazzy.

However, it was shadowy and creepy. I didn't care about any character in it or what happened to any of them. It picked up slightly when Gere appeared, and I decided to stay, but before that I was about to walk out.

I'd like to see this same talented cast in something worthwhile.
